My daughter has been seeing Dr. Topal since "the best orthodontist in Manhattan" scared the heck out of us and submitted our x-rays to his own radiologist (not on our plan or with our permission) and then BILLED US!
Dr. Topal is kind, gentle, and doesn't believe in traumatizing the mouth with putting everything on at once. This is such a kind approach, he obviously loves his patients and takes such great care.
His staff is happy and supportive. We find Dr. Topal and his entire office to be a great comfort. We know we are in good hands with Dr. Topal!
I know in a pinch that Dr. Topal and his staff will go above and beyond to provide the best, most comfortable care!

I'd advise people to stay away. My child has to have his teeth redone for an additional $4,000 with another dentist due to Dr. Topal's poor care. He leaves the work to novice dentists who work for him, and gives confusing, contradictory responses when asked about why his treatment isn't correcting the problem. I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general's office.

Dr. Topal comes on as extremely nice and outgoing, but don't be fooled because he's in fact extremely arrogant, obnoxious and only cares about taking your money. My teeth aren't in a better condition than before seeing Dr. Topal. When talking to him he refused to admit that he was wrong but continued to call me stupid, saying that he knew best because after all I've "only known the dental industry for three months." After being talked to like that I never stepped foot in his office again. I should've trusted the other bad reviews when I first read them, I regret ever requesting his services. Please listen to the other bad reviews and believe them because I wish I had.

I had braces; the treatment was a very minor fixes. Wasn't very painful, but Topal himself isn't very gentle and consider with the comfort of his patients. He is also extremely rude to the point where he will insult you if you don't agree with his opinions. His opinions usually include unnecessary treatment in order for him to charge more. His staff is very nice, but they give you the run around because they are working under him and are very slow to resolve finanical issues. the ladies at the front desk are extremely nice and try to be helpful.

Dr. Topal's staff and other Orthodontists are wonderful. He himself is a rude, mean man. Horrible bed-side manner, more worried about having a game-room and appearance of the practice than actually calming the patient in any situation. Please keep this in mind, if you can schedule your visit with one of the other doctors, I think you'll be fine, otherwise just keep your eyes open with this man.

The workers are great, and Dr. Topal is extremely kind. He's great when it comes to kids, he takes his time, and performs everything in step-by-step procedures. Although it takes a number of appointments to get the full set of braces on, I'm sure the results will be great. However, I'm a new patient therefore I can't say much. I recommend him for younger children rather than for teens because its a very slow process and teens often look to get their braces off as soon as possible. Other than that, he's great.

Dr. Topal had concern about you and what you needed done. I was treated well and never had a problem with anything. The end result speaks for it's self. I aways felt comfortable walking into his office and waiting my turn.
