My children had an awful experience with Dr. Karau. She ruined their teeth and they had go go to another orthodontist and have braces put on again! She never returned my calls when I tried to contact her. She cost me $2,500 and couldn't even be bothered to call me back. She is very strange. My orthodontist told me that she practices like it was 1960. Don't go here you will regret it!!

She is awful!!! Office is so outdated and she is weird. Totally inept. Very dishonest. She messed up my teeth and also my children's teeth. The father is totally creepy! Please avoid!!
About Front Desk: Still have phones with cords and computer is outdated and there is one archaic x ray machine. Everyone there is so unprofessional and it feels like it is 1960 again!

Dr. Karau is great with kids! She helped my daughter with an overbite and was very kind and friendly. It was easy to get an appointment and she always made my daughter feel at ease. She is terrific. We will be back with my son in a couple of years I am sure!

MY DAUGHTER WAS SCHEDULED TO GET HER BRACES AT ANOTHER FACILITY. I DECIDED AT THE LAST MINUTE TO LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS. I FOUND DR. KARAU, I GOT AN APPOINTMENT IN 2 DAYS AND MY DAUGHTER WAS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE WITH HER. HER STAFF IS AMAZING AND THE COST WAS $1000 CHEAPER THAN MY OTHER PROPOSED FEE. I AM VERY PLEASE WITH THE LEVEL OF EXCELLENT CARE GIVEN TO MY DAUGHTER THUS FAR. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. KARAU!

Dr. Karau treated me when her father was also a part of the practice. I had braces when I was 11 and am still suffering the consequences of poor care. After reviewing my x-rays, Dr. Karau knew that I had congenitally missing permanent teeth, but still had some baby teeth. Dr. Karau sent me to an oral surgeon to have those baby teeth removed, and now, 19 years later, much of my jaw has eroded away from where my baby teeth were needlessly pulled. My current dentist has advised me to have implants placed to prevent my jaw from eventually breaking, but implants are extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. My 2 1/2 to 3 year expected treatment from the Karaus lasted five years although I was faithful to my treatment plan and kept all of my appointments. At the end of the five years, my prosthedontist said the placement of my teeth was so poor that he could not place false teeth in my mouth without another treatment of braces. After contacting the Karaus with several times with complaints, Dr. Karau would not return my phone calls. I had to get braces again for another two years. I would not recommend Dr. Karau to anyone; even if the services were free.

Great treatment. I have two children currently seeing Dr. Karau. The children enjoy going to the orthodontist. We are treated with the utmost respect. They have been great to work with me and submit my insurance remittence. They do not bill me until they have received a payment from the insurance company.

They rock. It only really hurts when you get your braces/retainer tightened, though. But that's not their fault. :(
