Read Reviews for Dr. Dona Seely
We took our daughter to see Dr. Seely in March 2011. Our first meeting was to discuss treatment options and cost, but we were so impressed by the photos in the testimonial albums and her treatment plan (no extractions in order to keep her smile full and beautiful!) that we started the treatment that very day. The cost was within our budget and comparable to our other estimate. The changes in my daughter's smile and bite have been amazing. We are comfortable and confident in the procedures carried out by Dr. Seely and her competent and friendly technicians. They pay attention to detail and take all the time needed to get everything set just right. Installing braces can be uncomfortable, but they are very gentle and always aware of my daughter's comfort during any procedure. The front office staff are also very friendly and accomodating. It is easy to make appointments that fit my busy schedule and avoid high traffic times. Parking is easy and the facility is very comfortable. All treatment chairs face out a large bank of windows to a pleasing landscape. Our family wholeheartedly recommends Dr. Seely to anyone seeking orthodontics. In fact, one friend that I have already referred to Dr. Seely has begun their orthondontic treatment

She runs a factory for othodontia. She sees each patient for 45 seconds. Almost all work is done by technicians. Some technicians are good. Some are VERY painful. I had one ridicule me because i couldn't stand the pain involved in removing bands.
I was left in the chair twice for over 45 minutes, with no one working on me, -- And it wasn't because i was waiting on xrays or molds.
I waited for over an hour twice for an appointment to begin.
She was running an hour late, and the front office either didn't realize it or decided not to tell me when I showed up.
I chose another orthodontist for my son. He is much cheaper and the appointments are accomplished quickly and on time.

We had to wait 3 hours for a one hour appt & one hour for a "20 minute appointment"... the waiting room is cramped, she is always over booked, and the prices are way too high for the service.
She may be the best orthodontist in the area for all we know, but based on the service we will be changing to another orthodontist.

She is very expensive
She is not a good communicator. If you don't ask the question, she is not going to volunteer the info.
She runs a factory, and spends 90 seconds with each patient.
More than once I waited over an hour before seeing the doctor. Even tho I asked if they were running behing schedule, they didn't offer to re-schedule, or indicate there would be a 80 minute wait.
She incorrectly glued one of my molars, leaving a pocket for food to accumulate. I had to get a crown to replace the rotten tooth. No apology.

I have had adult ortho. It was completed, but wasn't done right. My bite was incorrect, and because of that, I have lost a front tooth!
Dr Seely is the best adult ortho finisher. She knows where everything should go and how to get it there. I trust her completely. My teeth are doing great! I very rarely have discomfort. While I have occasionally waited, that's how it goes in orthodontics.
Not only am I glad I decided to go through treatment (again!), I'm REALLY glad I chose Dr Seely. Thanks Dr S!!

I spent 7 years with Dr. Seely, and would recommend her to anyone looking for the Orthodontist that all the other orthodontists take their children to. She is a perfectionist, and is Extremely easy to work with. If you have tried the rest, now go with the best!

Everytime we went to Dr. Seely, whether it was a simple change the rubber bands or install new braces, the appointment was a minimum of 1 hour. Most of that time was spent waiting with your mouth open waiting for the next "specialist" to do their task. This is the most inefficient service model that I have ever seen. One person to take off the old rubber bands, someone else to thread the wire, someone else to put on the new bands and then finally, Dr. Seely to check the work. I wasted more time waiting and waiting. Then, my daughter was having jaw issues and could only open her mouth an inch and Dr. Seely said this was normal so we ignored it until she was in so much pain from trying to open her mouth wide enough to eat a sandwich. We took her to a jaw specialist and NO, it was not normal.
If you do not value your time and don't mind waiting, waiting and waiting - pick Dr. Seely. Otherwise, find another orthodontist that runs a more efficient shop.
