Read Reviews for Dr. Nick Gorgani
My two children have been Dr. Nick's dental patients since they were toddlers and have always appreciated his professionalism and friendly demeanor. He takes the time to explain any recommended treatments to them (and to me), and is great about answering our questions. Neither one has had any cavities, due in part to the sealants he puts on their teeth. And he helped guide us as far as the timing for orthodontia as well. His staff is warm, the cleanings have been gentle, and neither child has ever expressed any reservations about going in for the next appointment.

The worst monopolistic and money-minded dental practice in town. Its there RULES and their patients just have to live by them. They will NEVER accommodate you on a schedule that fits the patients. They have ‘rule’ designed by them to fit only them. If the doctor is on vacation, the practice does not allow you to be seen by another Dr. within the same practice, even if it’s for a routine cleaning or oral check-up. It’s a very frustrating process to reschedule appointments which they insist be taken 6 months ahead of time. By the time the actual appoint come around, either the date does not suit you anymore and you’ll have no luck getting another one anytime soon or they will simply bill you $50 for missing your appointment. They are an insensitive group of dentists, who mistakenly are in the business of helping other.

We have been patients of Nick Gorgani for 3 years and are finally fed up with the poor level of service at his practice. We will be going elsewhere.
1. Half the kids in Los Altos goes t this guy and the place is literally a factory. He spends about 45 seconds looking in your kids' mouth, but otherwise has his huge staff of hygentists handle the majority of your visit.
2. My son needed to get a butterfly retainer. Nick never caught this - I did. When he heard that I was talking to other orthos, other than the ones in his office, he proceeded to badmouth other orthos....not very professional and a bit too transparent. Pls give your parents a little more credit; we're not that naive about your financial alignments.
3. His front office desk staff which is one of the most incompetent offic es I have ever seen routinely makes scheduling errors causing my insurance to not cover our routine dental visit. They have on more than once ocassion scheduled earlier than 6 months casuing huge billing issues for our family, They then take no responsibilty for their mistakes.
There are tons of good dentists out there who actually care about their patients. I'm not sure why I wasted the three years I did there.

My wife came home in tears today after an incident with my 5 year old son and Dr. Gorgiani. I'm writing this review to prevent any other parents from having to go through the same experience.
The main issue was the lack of consent and disclosure in filling my son's cavity. Imagine your reaction if you took your son to the examining room and were told to wait outside only to come back to your child under sedation passed out.
At no time was the option of using nitrous oxide discussed and when questioned after the fact Dr. Gorgiani became very defensive and claimed that Nitrous oxide was used during the last visit (which it wasn't).
It felt as if Dr. Gorgiani had something to hide - he was very nervious when questioned about the need to use nitrous oxide. He was rude when responding claiming that this was standard procedure with all patients.
It felt like this was the quickest way and shortest path to getting paid without having to treat our son and my wife with any respect.
Needless to say we won't be going back to Dr. Gorgiani. And we hope that no other parent experiences what we went through.

Cost is high. We only did the usual stuffs.
So that I can not tell anything special about treatment success. Facility is good, though the office staff service is not good. I reserve appointments for the 6-month check-up. Almost all other dentists office will give a reminder call by a real person. If no one answers, this person will leave a message. I totally did not get the reminder calls 2 times even I have a working answering machine. Later I found out that the office uses machine to make the reminder calls which is not reliable. They charged me $50 for one missing appointment even I did not get any service.

Although Dr Gorgani is a good dentist, his fees are exceptionally high. Even cleanings are not entirely covered! His office staff personalities leave a lot to be desired. They do not take that extra step that would entail a little more work to service their clients.

Dr. Gorgani is sensitive, caring, child-friendly. He is warm and goes the extra mile to reassure, to explain, to help the child and the parent feel at ease.
The office runs like a clock. Billings and insurance submissions are handled with great efficiency.
The technicians are as sweet as Dr. Gorgani; clearly he chooses the right people and trains them. I wish that would also be true of the office staff. Although they are excellent at their work, they are neither particularly kind nor friendly.
Most important, the dental care is spectacular!

we have been to see dr. nick for a trauma as well as regular check ups. he is fantastic, as are his dental assistants and hygienists. he has a great way about him with the kids. my 2 yr old screamed after his trauma at another (so called) pediatric dentist, and he was fine with dr. nick...didn't even need to sit on my lap. they really individualize treatment and make good assessments as to what the child can handle to ensure that they have a good dental experience. the only negative thing i can say is that the billing people could be nicer, but they're not mean or anything, they just don't look too happy. overall, highly recommended!
