Only does the work you need, won't try an upsell you treatments you don't need. He actually talked me out of a crown (recommended by a prior dentist) because he didn't feel it was needed. So far, he was right.

He is such an amazing sweet man! There is nothing to be nervous about! I have never felt any pain during my fillings and route canals. He also is very quick and efficient. He is a little more expensive but definitely worth it if you want a worry-free visit! He has been my dentist since middle school and now into my early adult hood, no one else compares! Absolutely no pain, no stress, very comfortable, newest technologies!

About Hygienist: Deidre rocks, she is the best! The front staff lady , Daniynn is kind of a pain tho :(

Shady billing. They charged me for the cleaning which is entirely covered by my insurance and I don't know what else was going on. The quality of job was bad. The crown came off only several months after treatment. They had really hard time fitting temporary and permanent crowns. My daughter was treated like a year and a half ago. New dentist (Kaneda in Chula Vista) told her that it's already decaying under the crown! After all of the treatment was done, he tried to pressure me into letting him work on yet another one.

I am extremely afraid of dentists. The office staff did an excellant job at making me feel comfortable. Dr Cardoza also made me feel comfortable in the beginning. He asked quite often if I was o.k. during the crowns and root canals I was having done. He did not stop, when I raised my hand during my treatment, a few times because he was almost done. He was willing to do as much as he could on my teeth at one time thus reducing the number of visits I would need to come. The only negative thing I have to say is that I was assured by the office staff that they would monitor the cost of my treatment and not let the cost go over my insurance maximum so I would not have to pay a lot out of pocket. I was then presented with a bill some 8 months later for over $800.00 that my insurance (2 different insurances) did not pay for because I was over the maximum. I suggest asking for a statement of charges each time you are there so you can monitor the payments and insurance billing so the maximum is not surpassed. A very good Dentist and staff overall.
