Read Reviews for Dr. John Conniff
I had the worst experience ever with John Conniff. I remember vividly as a child getting some work done when I was around 6 years old it and was a very traumatic experience. When dip sh!t was injecting numbing agents into my mouth I remember crying from the pain Conniff grabbed my mouth and cheeks very hard and told me to shut up or I was going to freak out all the other kids in the room. He then proceeded to inject me and was very aggressive with his proceedure. This memory was forever implanted in my mind. That was the last time I saw him but from then on I hated needles and would panic when I thought I was going to get a shot from any doctor. Fast forward to age 24. I was a store manager at a store called Gadzooks that used to be in the Las Cruses Mall. Not sure how the subject came up but I told this same story to a fellow employee named Carrie Kantrowitz (hope I spelled that right). Turns out she had the very same experience I did when she was a child.

Dentist quick to sedate a child. If seeking gentle dentistry where the dentist will provide a trusting relationship with your child, this dentist isn't right for you. We were appalled at his lack of professionalism and negativity they portrayed. The lack of regard he has for children is ridiculous. But, they will make sure you know it was your "uncooperative" child or maybe you as a parent. I will seek elsewhere for my child since this dentist is for "perfect" children only. He will not work on a child who is scared. He will recommend sedation, which is stressful and causes more cost at the parent expense. This doctor is in it for the money, not the patient.

My son had extensive dental surgury done by Dr. Coniff when he was 23 months old. Dr. Coniff put porcelin crowns on the front of his two upper front teeth, and silver on the back. You could not even tell they weren't my son's real teeth!!! Also, he went the extra mile with ease--sealing the gum-line to keep the teeth from rotting to the root if it were to happen again. My family and I moved to Phoenix, where my son saw another dentist. The dentist in Phoenix asked us where my son had his work done, saying he himself was amazed, and he couldn't have done a better job. Despite recommendations to other dentists that have not been as wise or helpful, we now drive to Las Cruces from Phoenix for my son's dental check-ups. Dr. Coniff really is the best. His skill and attentiveness to my sons' dental needs have influenced me to pursue a dental career. No joke--once you go to his office, you will never want to be seen by another dentist!!!
