Horrible. Staff is rude!!! Front desk is rude!!! Customer service is horrible. Took my son there and it was a horrible experience.

I made my daughters first appointment, we were 5 minutes late. we were forced to reschedule. we will not be returning. I understand that the dentists time is valuable, however my daughter is 3 and terrified of dentist because it is new. we were late because she was sobbing and scared. I managed to calm her down and head to dentist. being forced to reschedule after that is ridiculous. I would say if you have children then not the dentist for you, sadly they are a pediatric office.

Dr. Joel Vela was very patient and good with my son, I felt comfortable with him treating my son. He was very good at calming my son and good with kids. Everybody else was nice except for one nurse, Connie.
About Front Desk: Front desk was superb. Very friendly, practical and informative. The nurse (Connie) is another thing. I had to look for another doctor because of her. Very unfriendly and impatient with my kid.

Dr. Vela did not fully understand my child's healthcare condition and how susceptible she would be to cavities. I went and visited him when she was 1 years of age and everything was fine. She was taking multiple medications and had a suppressed immune system. When I returned for her 6 month check-up, she had at least 3-5 cavities and I have now be referred to a specialist whom can handle her case. All I need from him was a warning of how susceptible she was and a better understanding of her medications and how they affected her dental and overall health. When I expressed my frustration he just brushed me aside and asked me to talk with the other dentist and said it seemed like I want to blame someone. He was very insensitive to my situation. There were steps we could have taken to prevent or lessen her risk. She now has to go under anesthesia and possibly receive 4-5 crowns. She is 18 months!

My daughter is terrified by Dr. Vela. She was only 4 years old when they didn't allow me to go with her to have a filling. She came back with a crown and terrified to go there again. I will NEVER goback there -- not to mention it was the wrong tooth! stay away from him

Procedures usually cost more than the estimated amount. But the work is good and the kids are comfortable. The wait time for an appointment is usually long unless it is an emergency.

This doctor is passionate about dentistry and his patients. His staff treated my children like family. He went the extra mile to explain everything and answered all my questions. I would recommend Dr. Vela to anyone.

We were very happy with the service. Great staff. Very painless, my kids actually like going to the dentist.

My oldest son suffers from Early Childhood Caries and when he was about 2 years old, one of his teeth completely disintegrated. Dr. Vela put in several fillings and three crowns and brought a young child through the procedure with almost no trauma at all!
