Best Dentist and group of hygienists in the area! Have used this group for years, ever since I was a kid and Dr. Louie's dad was the dentist. Now that Ken has joined the practice they have modernized (many years ago) the facility and have all of the best equipment, including comfortable new chairs, painless equipment, and DVDs playing in every room.
Their hygienists are the best in the business. I had tried other dentist when I worked on the peninsula, but eventually came back to Louie because the hygienists could never easily handle the specific problems I had. At least not without a lot of pain.
Hygienists - Easily the best in the business. This office obviously screens them very carefully, and takes care of the best.
Front desk friendly and helpful. They are always on top of schedules and reminders.

After having been a patient of Dr. Louie for many years, I can say with confidence that Dr. Kenneth Louie is one of the best dentists in the entire Bay Area. He is personable, competent, and professional. He has a kind, low-key manner, and does excellent, high-quality work. He never hurts patients, no matter how difficult the procedure. He truly cares about each patient. The front desk is excellent. His hygienic staff is an altogether different situation.
UNFORTUNATELY, his hygienists are not always pleasant or careful. Often their procedures hurt terribly, and they will not stop when told to do so. Worse, some of his hygienists are verbally abusive, specifically needlessly chastising patients at length, and abusing their positions of authority.This was my experience. It is very sad that, recently, Dr. Kenneth Louie leaves the day-to-day work in the hands of these hygienists and now doesn't even stop in to check in or review a patient's status at the end of these distressing hygienic sessions. Until Dr. Louie pays closer attention to the quality of chair-side behavior of the hygienists, and oversees them more carefully, potential patients would be very wise to look elsewhere for gentle, sensitive dental care.
