I went to another dentist and he wanted to remove a tooth, went to Dr. Pirk and he said that my tooth did not need to be removed. A bone graft was performed. He is very efficient and I highly recommend him. My husband had an implant and has been pleased too. I now go twice a year to have my teeth cleaned, Diana, the hygienist, is truly a gem. I am very appreciative of both Dr. Pirk and Diana, they are highly skilled in their field!
About Front Desk: Carmen is very nice and I have known her for a few years. The new girl (who has been there at least two years) is also very nice. Staff is friendly.
About Hygienist: Awesome.
Hygiene time: Don't know, I guess 45 min. to 60 min.

I have been with Dr. Pirk for 26 years. It was the best recommendation I ever received.

My Experience: Gum Surgery

Dr. Pirk has been my periodontist for 23 years. He has done surgery on my gums twice, has removed loose teeth, and my periodontal disease is controlled. I go every four months for a cleaning, but I always hear good reports. As an aside, beca use of Dr. Pirk I discovered I was diabetic, and I have been able to control my diabetes as well.
About Hygienist: Diana is a great hygenist. She is very friendly and has an excellent chairside manner. She accomodates me, and I have never heard her be negative. She is very thorough and gentle.

If you're looking for a pain free experience then Dr. Pirk is the Doctor to see. I have to have 8 gum grafts, 2 dental implants and ridge augumentation (both sides where molars are missing).
So far I have had the right bottom side of my mouth worked on (2 gum grafts, 1 ridge augumentation (bone), and an implant). I am very sensitive to pain and I can honestly tell you that I felt no pain whatsoever, not during the procedure or even after the procedure. I can't wait to get the left side of my mouth worked on now that I know that it doesn't hurt!
I am still a waiting to get the top part of the implant in (he just put in the screw and we are waiting for it to heal) but I just wanted to share my experience (during procedure). I am very happy so far. Also, Dr. Pirk is very soft spoken and such a sweetheart. I felt comfortable talking to him. The money spent is definitely worth it.

I had two implants and one extractiion. This was one of the least painful procedures I have ever had. And at 56 with multiple root canals and redos I have had experience with poor dental services.
Dr. Pirk thoughly explained the procedures during my first first, showed me my xrays and pointed out the problem areas.
As with any procedure, I become extremely anxious...but once I arrived at his office, the friendly and professional staff began to ease my fears. Dr. Pirk is soft spoken and has a very calming demeanur, he talked to me and explained everything as we went along.
I will, in all likelihood, need another extraction and implant and will have NO RESEREVATIONS NOR WILL I SUFFER ANY ANXIETY prior to the procedure! Dr. Pirk is Great!
