The dental staff was great, but billing is shady. I was called about an overdue bill (which was incurred although I was assured by the receptionist my insurance covered the procedure). She told me it must go to collections. Understood. Please do that. 1 month later, they made an appointment for me. I took off work, and drove through the snow to get there on time (2/22/18).
"You have an outstanding balance of over $150."
"I do? I thought you sent that to collections."
"You had an appointment so I held it."
"Does that need to be paid now?"
"Yes, or we can't see you today."
The scare tactic of sending it to collections did not work, so they TRICKED me into coming in to pay! I am out 1 day vacation. Can I bill them? No. Like so many others, I got effed over.
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE.
They will bill your insurance, bill you, send you to collections, trick you, lie to you, and affect your credit, all for a dollar.

Dr. Nerio is a gold digging dentist. He will do nothing for you without compensation. My specific issues are two (2) fold.
1. I had a cleaning procedure several years ago. His first action was to have his staff check to see if I still had insurance coverage for the amount of the procedure. I was told there was and he did the procedure. The procedure was not covered by insurance because it happened within the 24 month cycle allowed by insurance. A common practice for Dr. Nerio's office (see others review). This cost me Approx $1199.
2. I asked Dr Nerio for a letter with the format provided to submit with dental records to the VA for reconsideration of dental coverage. It took over 6 weeks and 5 visits to his office to get the letter. The letter did not follow format and was rejected by the AMERICAN LEGION for submission to the VA. I went back to his office asking for the letter to be rewritten. His office called me within the hour and said Dr. Nerio could no longer spend anytime on this. If he treats disabled veterans this way, what can his patients expect

Horrible rude man. I watched him treat his office staff in a way that i was so embarrassed for them. I will never go back. He is a jerk.
About Front Desk: Nice ladies but they should not work for such a jerk.

Dr. Nerio is an excellent dentist. His staff is friendly and kind. I have had multiple surgical procedures as well as cleaning, root planing and many other treatments there. They are thorough, caring and always concerned for my safety and pain level. I recommend Dr. Nerio highly.

Second time back this year as I finally plan to tackle my gum issues. Front desk staff excellent, answered all my anxiety fears. LOVE the staff, price is fair and I plan to return until everything is repaired and under control !!

Dr. Nerio has a terrible bedside manner. He is rude and talks down to the patient. He is also rude to his staff in front of patients. I would not recommend him to any of my friends.
Assistant also was rude and impatient.

Doctor Nerio is simply the BEST,very caring, makes his Patients feel like a Friend of his.
I have Teeth cleanings at his Office and he did surgery on my Gums.
His Staff is awesome! :)
I would recommend him to anyone 101%.

About Hygienist: His Hygienist is GREAT. She is very gentle during my Cleanings and always explains what is being done. Very sweet & caring as well. Marianne
