Read Reviews for Dr. Barry Kaimakis
Dr. Kaimakis seems like a nice man. I was told my teeth cleaning would be covered by insurance but when I got there, they said it was a special cleaning that was not all covered so I decided not to have it done. The receptionist looked at me and said "when you finances turn around, come back and see us." That is a word-for-word quote. After explaining to her that what she said was quite rude, I told her to let the doctor know I wouldn't be coming back. She said "we figured that". I didn't bother teller her that I had planned to come back until she insulted me. I'd rather use a dentist who understands that I am the customer. I'd already spent thousands of dollars there, but no more. I'm sure I can find a dentist with a staff that treats me with respect.

I went to Dr. Kaimakis 's office for a cleaning. When it's done, he told me that I should replace my old crown if I don't want to have any serious problems later. I took his advice...after all, he is a professional (I was naive, I know). It cost me more than $1,000. But I thought it's worth to pay for my future.
A month later, I was still in pain. What was worse, it became unbearable...I couldn't eat nor sleep. I had to go back to his office. I was happy when he guaranteed my pain would be gone on that very same day. ... until I found out his solution was just to send me to the endodontist for root canal. He said "Unfortunately, it often happens", even though he didn't mention it before the treatment.
I visited the endodontist to stop this excruciating pain (do I have any other choice?). Instead of root canal treatment, the endodontist adjusted my new crown little bit and told me to come back if it didn't work...and it worked!
I may/may not have serious problem later, like he said. But what makes difference to have horrible pain NOW instead of LATER? I can't trust Dr. Kaimakis and his clinical skills any more. I will NEVER visit his office again.
Btw, his office is fancy and his staff are very friendly and helpful.
About Hygienist: They are all friendly, efficient and professional. I was very happy with the cleaning.

I had not been to a dentist in seven years before visiting Kaimakis just a couple weeks ago. I had a very bad experience long ago and I am terrified of going to the dentist. After explaining my anxiety and dentist "issues" Everyone who worked there was very gentle and patient. Because it had been so long my cleaning took over an hour, but the hygienist never broke a sweat. Kaimakis was friendly and made sincere attempts to not freak me out.
The only negative is that that I need a crown and they require checking with my insurance company before proceeding. I'm not in pain but I have to hang out with a bad tooth for at least six weeks or more!

Dr. Kaimakis is a very pleasant dentist who provides reliable and honest care. The quality of his work is very high and you need not worried that he will recommend unnecessary work. I believe he truly has the patient's best interest at heart.

I'm completely annoyed by Dr. Kaimakis. It seems like every time I've gone in there, he's decided to give me a crown instead of a filling. I can't imagine my teeth are that bad, especially since I grew up having NO cavities! I have a bunch of ill-fitted crowns that hurt a lot of the time including one he never should have put on a wisdom tooth that isn't even fully grown in (the crown barely hangs on and hurts most of the time). I kept going back, thinking I just had bad teeth until one day I mentioned to a coworker that I had a bunch of crowns and she guessed who my dentist was then said she knew countless others who had the same experience. I'm out thousands of dollars and my mouth will never be the same.
Furthermore, I have a crown on one of my front teeth and he told me it should be redone because I was getting grayness in my gums. Well, guess what, not 2 months after having it redone (at quite an expense), my gums are grey again. I see other people with far better work.
I'm way too young to be begging for dentures but that's about where I am, I hate what has happened to my mouth.
