Dr Duncan is a great person, HOWEVER, with that being said, some of his staff, especially one that appears stuck up, Tiffin or something like that, is one reason to AVOID this place. I went there after not having gone to a dentist in over 35 years, due to a phobia, and he was great, but the staff who worked on my sonic cleaning, was rude and annoyed that I had a phobia of dental work due to my childhood. They didn't finish and recommended I put to sleep for any further work, but they don't do sleep dentistry. Insurance paid them, and they billed me $52. I didn't think they deserved it, so I refused to pay. The stuck up one, in my opinion, sent it to collections, which we took out of collections. My wife needed a little tooth repair done, and she works right next to them, so I gave her the money to pay the dentist. They REFUSED the money and said we had to give it to collection agency, which we don't. There is NO rule, law or regulation saying anyone has to work with a third party collection agency. I called and spoke to the stuck up one, and she confirmed they were refusing to take the money or provide service to my wife, which is their right. She needs to be let go for his business to boom.

Dr. Duncan is a very loving old gentleman who has lost control and interest in his practice!
His staff are absolutely the most Ill mannered and incompetent
assemblage of people one can imagine.
The office manager openly defies the Doctors instructions and best practices.
He seems fearful to raise his voice against Her!
Do not patronize this firm! TELL ALL your friends-----!

I have 4 young adults who have been under Dr. Duncan's care for 1 years. They all have very good teeth as a result of regular care and prevention care. The staff is always friendly and very capable. Dr. Duncan is very professional.

Dr. Duncan has been my dentist for years. The staff is friendly and Dr. Duncan is very well educated. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dont go. Office staff unprofessional. Dentist seems uninvolved in practice. Made appointment but expressed reluctance to be forced into new patient xrays.stated I would since there was no option. Showed up and they lied saying I did not have an appointment. That I dentist shop and I had 3 sec to leave office or they would call police. I did nothing but tell them my concern about xrays. All i did at office was show up with dental pain and they failed to treat me. Dont trust them. They did not have the decency to call to tell me to get a different dentist. Horrible dental office. You can do much better.

I first saw Dr. Duncan in 1987 when I first moved to Portland. After I changed jobs and moved, I had lost track of him. When I was looking through a brochure, I had remembered his name from years before and also remembered that he was a very kind and good dentist so my husband and I started going to him. He and his staff always make sure that you are comfortable and not in any pain. They know me by name (nickname: NORM) and it's a friendly and fun atmosphere. The charges are reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Duncan and his practice and employees.

Dr Duncan is very capable, but his employees, the hygenists, or tooth cleaners, whatever you want to call them, leave alot to be desired. The last one I had tried to tell me I had gum disease and told me to take a bunch of measures that I was already doing anyway. Dr Duncun apparently was not of the same opinion and told me my teeth were great. The hygenist before that watched TV at the same time she was cleaning my teeth. She had her eyes on the TV more often than on my my teeth. And you may or may not get sunglasses to protect your eyes. Dr. Duncun needs to hire more capable hygenists and get rid of those stupid TVs. Im considering going to a different dentist.
