Read Reviews for Dr. John Bosak
Worst dentist ever! All his crown work quickly results in a root canal or tooth extraction. He, his wife and his staff are awful to patients. Barbaric old school practices.
About Front Desk: Not nice, they also lied to me about my insurance payments and bills.

Awful! I agree with the other MANY negative reviews. Check Yahoo Local reviews. The one positive review must have been written by him. He ruined my tooth and said he did nothing. After getting 2 other second opinions from very experienced, long practitioners, I was told that his work was ABSOLUTELY the cause. He marks charts as "decayed" and fills teeth unnecessarily. His fillings crack and fall out within 2 years at which point he then marks "decay" on chart and wants to fill again. Other dentists indicated a definite root canal was in order. They said more drilling would have been very dangerous since filling was so close to the nerve. His fillings usually result in root canals. Very young family members now have root canals due to his fabricated necessities so he can get money from insurance companies. His prices seem normal but after paying for all the unecessary work you spend MUCH more than other dentists. He tried to charge $850 for 2 crowns. When I called my insurance company they said the actual cost is $70!

I had a broken crown that they said my insurance would not cover due to lack of decay. They charged me an out of pocket of $950.00 Spoke to my insuarance co and they said it should have been submitted under a different claim code # and it would have been covered.

Dr. Bosak is a nice person. Unfortunately, he and/or his office do not give very good care.
I was a patient of his office for about two years, visiting his office for a total of 4 cleanings.
During that time x-rays were only taken once. Not that I want to be zapped with x-rays, but neither he or his associate dentists noticed that there was a crack in my tooth. I had been intermitently been noticing some minor pain in that area for close to a year. I mentioned it to him, but he said he didn't "see anything". No x-rays were taken at this time. Finally, I decided to get a second opinion from another dentist. That was when I was told that I had a cracked tooth, and there was so much decay that I needed a crown. So I continued to go to my new dentist, without ever going back to Bosak.
Like I said, I think Dr. Bosak is a nice man. But unfortunately, being a nice man doesn't mean he runs a good dental practice.
Beware,
'Cracked Tooth'

It seems everytime I go to him for cleaning or checkup, he seems to find things to do. Last time he wanted to replaced three fillings because they were discolored. A week later I was in pain with other teeth. I don't know if its an infection or another tooth problem. I generally take good care of my teeth, but no explanation why I'm having problems or is he looking to keep his appointment book filled. Don't expect emergency service, you will wait a week for an emergency appointment and 2 months for a routine dental appointment, 3-4 months for cleaning.
