She does ok work. I've been seeing her for 15 years, and before that when she was a dental hygenist for another dentist. We've put up with her idiosyncrasies for years but her office has degraded to the point of utter frustration. She is one of the more expensive dentists in the area. While getting a filling, I just said I had some tooth pain in another area and she charged me 65 dollars for tapping on the tooth for about 15 seconds and telling me to get a mouthguard. She also stopped taking my family's insurance and failed to notify us. I'm not sure if that is a result of shady business practice, incompetence, or just or just negligence on her part. No we're stuck with an inflated bill. When called to dispute the bill, they hung up and threatened to send the bill to a collection agency. With that being said, she is a mediocre dentist and does satisfactory work. You're experience however will probably end up being one where you are nickel and dimed into the poorhouse for seeing her.

I know this doctor: 15 years

Nothing all that wrong with the dental procedures per se, except I complained about the hygenist being rough, and my request was ignored. Biggest complaint was the marketing of extra services I didn't think I need (e.g. whitening)

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Dice-Shah. She had an unpleasant patient manner. After I pointed to a spot in my mouth that was causing me pain, she said "I guess you don't want me to poke there, huh?" and laughed. Then, she preceded to do just that, causing me significant discomfort. Her dental assistants had accents which were hard to understand, and at least one of them seemed poorly trained. The filling material had apparently been heated at the wrong temperature, which the dentist remarked on. However, she kept using it nonetheless, and that filling did eventually need redoing. (I do not know enough to know whether this was the immediate cause, but it concerned me.) In addition, the shop was excessively commercially focused. Part of the assistants' job seemed to be to convince me to buy expensive electronic toothbrushes and tooth whitening treatments. The dentist herself seemed offended when I ask for a final cost before agreeing to a procedure. That said, the dentist herself is reasonably competent, and I had several uneventful cleanings before this bad experience. One of the two cavity fillings I had done by her was entirely successful.
