Read Reviews for Dr. Richard Robinson
Dr Robinson is a nice person and a decent (not outstanding) dentist, but his office staff is incompetent in their billing, especially in the processing of insurance claims. If you have insurance, GET A PRE-TREATMENT estimate! This will protect you from billing surprises and provide you with alternative treatment possibilities at lower cost. Without obtaining a pre-treatment estimate, your treatment may not get authorized as medically necessary (it being too extravagant for your insurer) which will result in you having to pay the full non-discounted price even though you are going to an in-network dentist! (You may also be able to opt for a less expensive treatment that may be covered, and thus receive the in-network discount). Of course, if you get the pre-treatment authorization and it turns out that your insurer feels the treatment is extravagant, Dr. Robinson will typically reduce his charge upon request prior to treatment to the in-network allowed amount assuming he is in your insurance company's network. But, if you don't do this you will not receive any discount from him and will have to pay the full charge as if you are out of network.

When I first saw Dr Robinson I hadn't been to the dentist in 10 years and I had 10 cavities. He took care or those painlessly for me and I have been seeing him regularly ever since. He has done 3 crowns for me which have held up very well. He has been very helpful with referrals for oral surgeons that are in network for my insurance. The office is run very smoothly with very little waiting and excellent processing of my insurance paperwork.

I have been going to Dr. Robinson for MANY years, really for my whole life. He is an amazing dentist and a kind and caring person. What I like most about him is that he does not try to push people into getting procedures that are not necessary at the time. He will tell you what you may need and when you may need it but he does not try to make you get things you can't afford all at once. He really takes a lot of time with each and every patient and makes sure you can ask any questions you may have.
About Hygienist: The hygienists are wonderful. I've known Gail for many years, but there is also a new gal who is great as well.

I don't recommend Dr Robinson. He did a crown for me and damaged the adjacent tooth. He ignored my complaints about pain in the adjacent tooth for the next 18 months, during which time a huge cavity grew in that spot. This was confirmed by other dentists that I went to for consultations. He also ignored a cavity in another tooth that I regularly brought to his attention. So, despite many years of regular checkups and cleanings, Dr Robinson allowed several problems to grow and continue, untreated. You bet I found another dentist once I figured out what was going on, and I'll never go to him again. You shouldn't either.
