About Hygienist: He said he could see me rapidly, but it took a week each time for him to see me and correct something that then took him 2 minutes to fix. After over 2 months on Phase 0 (which is supposed to take 3 weeks max), I had lost all confidence in him. I then googled him, found out he had really bad reviews already on Yelp (he has 2 accounts and both have bad reviews), and then called to cancel the whole treatment, before we started the process of moving my teeth. He has yet to refund any of my money. After I canceled, Dr. Shapiro didn’t return any of my phone calls and it became impossible for me to contact him. I had to take him to Small Claims court. He tried to make the judge believe we were 90% complete on a 2 year procedure that we didn’t even start yet (it starts with Phase 1, which we never got to. Then it would have taken a good 2 years). I still won in court but he only has to pay be back $800 instead of $4,350. Not a single tooth has been moved the slightest bit. I still haven’t seen any of my money yet. I canceled on July 22nd, 2013. He also told the judge that in May 2013, when we got the Phase 0 aligners, that he got at the same time all 24 trays for the next 2 years. When I canceled, the secretary told me they had just received the first 4 trays. They get 4 trays every 3 months. My advice, AVOID this dentist at all cost. And let everyone you know to avoid him.
