Drilled 5 holes in healthy teeth and filled them incorrectly. The fillings were aligned incorrectly and caused uneven pressure in my jaw. After a few weeks, I began to experience severe pain. She could not fix her mistakes. It took me two other specialists, over 2000$ out of pocket , and a year constant pain to fix what she did. I've had 3 dentists tell me that she ripped me off when they looked at the X-rays of the healthy teeth she drilled.
Don't go to this dentist. She is only interested in your money and not your healthy.

OUTSTANDING!! I am taking the time to write this review on Dr. Vu because I am so happy with the work she has performed on restoring my smile/teeth over the years! As an ex hockey player, I initially arrived at Dr. Vu's office with chipped and cracked teeth, etc. etc. My smile was pathetic! Dr. Vu was the first & only doctor to sit me down & explain the treatment, the time frames, the costs etc. associated with getting my new "Hollywood smile". She under promised and over delivered! I have had crowns, inlays, bonding, fillings, cleanings & whitenings done. Her work is brilliant! I could not be happier with my new smile & repaired teeth. Dr. Vu's staff is wonderful & helpful. If you are any where near UCLA/Westwood Village area, Dr. Vu is the only denstist worth considering. Dr. Vu even makes it easy for me to refer friends, family & now strangers....... 1(800)DoctorVu ........ DoctorVu.NET..... She is great! Yes, I really am a patient and no, I will not stop singing her praises & referring to her. She deserves it & I am very grateful that I found her & that she always takes such good care of me. Having caring, competent doctors you can count on is a good thing!!! You are the best Doctor Vu! Signed Ex-Canuck.
About Hygienist: Dr. Vu has 2 hygienists at her office; Mary and Theresa. Mary has not worked on me yet. I have gone to Theresea and she is incredibly thorough and gentle. I just cant imagine better care anywhere else!

Dr Vu is really courteous and patient and she actually returns patient phone calls. That is quite amazing. I think she is a good dentist who doesn't try (as hard as others) to force unnecessary bprocedures on you. Her front desk receptionist is also very friendly and professional

My regular cosmetic dentist was not available, he was gone skiing after extracting a tooth, it was not healing properly. He asked "Spooky Vu" to handle the emergency. She took a look, sprayed some water in the hole and split. Afterwards, another technician put a plastic partial to be suited as a temporary bridge to cover the hole. It was terrible, the roots to all my teeth were showing in this hole the pain went all down my neck, and all up the side of my head into my cranium and eye. Well, the temporary bridge popped off my mouth in the car 20 minutes later on the 405 freeway (62 mile drive home). I spent the night in pain, during Christmas, vomiting into a toilet no pain meds or antibiotics prescribed. Vu never even checked the bridge before I left, I suppose the attitude was "I'm not getting paid." I returned again in desperation, same encounter the bridge popped off 2 hours later...except this time? A knife shaped plastic mold was poking into the nerves. I found some relieve in Advil gel caps put right on the roots showing as the pharmacist advised and it worked a little bit until my regular dentist returned, once he did? Tooth was healed in a day or two...it was a nightmare.

Was very pleased with the experience. I did not feel rushed & Dr. Vu had plenty of time to talk with me & listened to my concerns. She's very friendly and seems honest. Can't say much about their prices as I just had a checkup which was mostly covered by insurance. Her schedule is pretty open also- got an appointment the day after I called!

I went to Dr. Vu after having gone to several horrible dentists, and I was impressed with her calm demeanor. I was also impressed that that I went in thinking I had pain from cavities, and instead of doing unnecessary work, as some less honest dentists would do, she just recommended that I use Sensodine. And it worked! The facilites were up-to-date although this was when she was working in Dr. Michael Schneider's office, so I'm not sure how her new set up is.

Dr. Helen Vu is a very good dentist with a very comforting and easy going bedside manner. I highly recommend her.
