Read Reviews for Dr. Victor Chan
I found that Dr Chan was not receptive to what I wanted in terms of overall dental care. My husband and I felt that he was more interested in exhausting our dental coverage than in providing us with work that we were more concerned with. And he hurts. He did not seem to have a great deal of finesse in preventing as much pain as possible. My husband had to return for a crown that did not fit properly. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone.
About Front Desk: I found the front desk staff to be initially rude, but after making this complaint to Dr. Chan, it did get better.

Facilities very worn and old. Yellowing overhead lamp, nasty pink and green vinyl chairs. Everything covered over in plastic, overall dirty feel. Procedures are ok, done by dentist himself(not assistant). Cost seems high, $240 for a new patient cleaning with two bite-wing xrays. After cleaning/procedure, no free toothbrush or any dental giveaways.

His price is OK but his technique is not. I feel he does not play into details when performing dentist works. He make some of my gums and lips bleed when he clean my teeth. Well, he does it fast though. I went to other dentist that has better skills.

Dr. Chan did a root canal for me. Plus is my regular dentist now. He understands dealing with people on low budgets, like me, and also explaining what's going on in nontechnical language without dumbing down what he's telling me about my teeth and my health. So I really appreciated his attentiveness. Especially after my previous dentist.
