Remember 1-800-Dentist? This is how I found Dr. Balcom. She's really, really great. Super rapport with patients. She is very gentle, and straightforward with you if you need to get something fixed. When one of my fillings wore out and crumbled, the office treated me as an emergency and got me right in to replace it. Dental health is very important to them and it's never like going to a Civil War surgeon.

Today, my husband had an eye tooth extracted. The reason: Dr. Balcom put on a lousy crown. Both our current Dentist and the Endodontist (at first is was thought that it was a bad root canal) were amazed at the lousy technique, something they both said that they rarely see. Please choose someone else.

I have been seeing Dr. Balcom for about 2 years and have also seen the other 2 dentists in the practice as well. I absolutely love the office, it is beautiful and the staff is friendly.
The reason why I am giving this practice only 2 stars is the work done there is only mediocre or maybe worse than mediocre. I've had three crowns done there in 2 years and have had problems with all three. This is due, I believe, to the fact that this practice uses assistants, not actual dentists, to do most of the work. This is unlike any other dental office I have been to in the past. In fact, one of my crowns recently fell off (only after a few months) the dentist told me it failed because it hadn't been glued in place properly, yet I was expected to pay for the reseating of the crown!!
When I asked about this policy, I was brushed off by the office staff and said it was customary to charge the customer for this work, no matter why the crown failed.
So, if you have great teeth and only need to get a cleaning and check up, by all means use this office, but if you've got "problem teeth" like mine, you should consider another practice. I have.

Dr. Balcom is the best dentist I've ever encountered. She specializes in working with patients who have had fearful dental experiences. When I first met her I was so fearful, I hadn't been to a dentist in 5 years and was so nervous I started crying just sitting in the waiting room (how embarrassing). Dr Balcom and her staff were always incredibly patient, encouraging and helpful. I NEVER felt rushed or like a burden for needing them to explain or take a break. After 3 years with her and her amazing staff I don't even have to use any medication to go for serious procedures. Every hygienist I have had there has been gentle, warm, welcoming and professional. When Dr. B. fills a cavity, I don't feel it at all, she is a master with the novicaine! On top of all this, the front desk staff always remembers me. They are genuinely warm and friendly and they treat me like family. I'm so sad I've moved and can't go to them anymore. Dr. B's staff has been very flexible with my multiple insurance changes and their new office in better than the Plaza Hotel. I love going there!
About Hygienist: I've been to all the hygienists at Dr. B's office, and you can feel good about seeing any of them. They are all warm and friendly as well as thorough, gentle and caring. I'm also amazed that they always, always remember what we talked about last time!

WOW!!! I actually look forward to my dental appointments. The other review that said the office is like family wasn't kidding. I have sent all my friends to Dr Balcom and Dr Woo's offices and all have been satisfied clients and are now raving fans.
I have been a client for at least 10 years at this point and don't plan on ever going anywhere else.
The facilities are VERY nice and they are improving them all the time. The new chairs are so comfy I feel like I am taking a nap every time I get my teeth cleaned and how often can you say that about a dental visit!
Not only is the team authentic, kind and thoughtful they deliver top notch dental care and advice. This office is all about the long haul and making sure you have what you need to maintain your dental health as an active partnership.
Plus they have EASY parking for those that are parking challenged.
