To be clear - this review is on Marshall Michaelian DDS, JR. I suppose I should count myself pretty fortunate to have had such wonderful dental experiences before meeting Dr. Michaelian. He had the worst bedside manner, was obtuse, pompous, incredibly PAINFUL, did not explain what was going on and I'm STILL feeling pain with my root canal. I will never go return to see him.

I had an emergency with the root canal that was done by my general dentist and was sent to Dr. Michaelian (Daly City office) for treatment. I have never experienced a more pleasant dental environment. The staff is wonderfull. The front office ladies explained, in detail, what my insurance would cover and the dental assistant was so friendly and caring. Dr. Michaelian is so thorough with his explainations of treament. He told me everything he was doing every step of the way, which is very important to me. As far as pain goes, I was in for emergency treatment because of severe pain and he found the problem and fixed it right away.(my general dentist missed a canal when filling my tooth, yikes don't get me started on that) Anyway, WIthin one week the pain was gone! I wish he was a general family dentist. I highly, highly recommend his office!

There are actually two Dr. Marshall Michaeliean's, father and son. They also have two offices, San Mateo and Daly City, but they each seem to work in both offices at times. I saw the younger one in the Daly City office for a consultation and San Mateo office for a root canal. He was very thorough in his explanation of what he was going to do and a very friendly guy. The staff was very professional and curtious, I felt very welcome there. They also were very careful to let me know my exact copay amount for the procedure before I came in - this was nice to know they wanted me to be comfortable with the $ before having the root canal. Highly recommened!
