Dr Shih is very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I have not yet used his services, but want to read reviews before I use his services for a root canal fix.

I drove 30 miles to see Dr. Shih based upon the patient reviews on this site and I was rather unsatisfied with his care. Although he did do a painless procedure, his restoration of my tooth was done very poorly. After he was done with my root canal, I felt a slight, rough abrasion on the back side of my tooth. It really just felt like the filling material was not smoothed out properly. I immediately asked him about it, and he didn't bother to check it out and just said that it would eventually smooth out on its own if I continue to rub against it with my tongue.
At first it didn't sound right, especially since I didn't want to be pushing against the back of my tooth, but I figured he knew what he was talking about. Needless to say, the "rough spot" never went away and so I finally had to schedule an appt w/ my dentist six months later to have him smooth it out. It took about 10 minutes, but I couldn't understand why Dr. Shih didn't want to take the additional minutes of extra care to smooth it out.

I have been an "anxious" patient in the past (a swallowing and gagging problem) which having the wrong dentist in the past contributed to. I appreciate the kindness and time Dr. Shih took to understand my worry. He really went the extra mile throughout the procedure and I didn't have the gagging or swallowing problem at all. He is extremely skillful with his hands and I am confident that he gave me a quality root canal. The service that Dr. Shih provided was excellent. Thank you, Dr.Shih!

After my regular dentist started but could not complete a root canal, I found Dr Shih, choosing him based on his online recommendations. Dr Shih scheduled me for that morning, and his service was excellent. Dr Shih explained both the situation and the remedy, communicating clearly and using models as needed. The proceedure itself went by quickly and painlessly. Recovery was without complication. I was so pleased with his work that I went to him for a second root canal. In short, Dr Shih is excellent and inspires confidence.

I needed a root canal and, based on prior experience elsewhere, my anxiety level was high. Dr. Shih was fabulous in that he fully explained everything that would happen and he worked very quickly. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I left within one hour and felt that it was a better experience than having my teeth cleaned. Now, that's really something! Dr. Shih called me the morning following the procedure to see how I was doing. Very classy.

My experience with Dr. Shih was uncomparable. He was pleasant and easy to work with. His bedside manner was excellent as was his staff.
One is naturally anxious about having a root canal, but Dr. Shih puts you at ease. Honestly, this procedure was easier than any other dental procedure I have ever had done. It felt as it nothing had been worked on. I expected that after the anesthesia had worn off that I would be in pain, but much to the contrary. In fact, the next day I was fine and was able to take part in a wedding I was scheduled to be in.
Above all Dr. Shih is thorough and makes sure each patient he sees gets 100% of his time and energy. I would recommened him to anyone needing a root canal. Thank you Dr. Shih!

Is one of the best Endodontist I've seen. I personaly had eight root canals and the one that Dr. Shih performed for me was one of the best experiences. The other root canals I've had, I experienced pain after thay were finished.
With Dr. Shih there was no pain during or after treatment. It was like the tooth had never been worked on. I would highly recamend Dr.Shih he has a great chairside manner and a great concern for his patients well being.

I had my first root canal after 10+ years because of a horrible dentist I had years ago. I lived in pain until Dr. Shih was recommended to me. I must say that Dr. Shih is the best! Had I known he would handle me with care I would have been there years ago. I like many people am frightened of the drilling and painful injections. I must say Dr. Shih put me at easy and the shots did not hurt! They were painless. I was an emergency visit and he took the time to explain what was happening to me. His staff is very kind and genuine. They are extremely helpful but most of all I felt comfortable and will go back to Dr. Shih any time. Thanks Dr. Shih.

My experience with Dr. Kingston Shih has been pleasant and comforting since the first day of my visit. Dr. Kingston Shih is quite impressive at the level of care and service that I received. He is a breath of fresh air from the horrible experience that I had with other dentists in the past.
Dr. Shih took his time explaining procedure and its benefits to the level of my comfort. What impresses the most is the extra mile of service he has provided; calling on his patient to follow-up on every work he had performed.
His staff is very accommodating and pleasant, I highly recommend him to anyone that has phobia of seeing a dentist or just anyone who wants to experience supreme quality of a real dentist.

Dr. Shih is great! He carefully explained everything that he was doing and answered all the questions that I had before during and after my root canal. He followed up with me to make sure everything was ok. I highly recommend Dr. Shih.
