Recommended by my DDS in Sacramento I went with confidence but cautious about pain issues I'd had with previous dentists. I needed a certain pain medication that I had successfully had a couple times in the past. I advised Dr. Jackson of the complications I'd had with other medications and that I'd prefer to use one a pharmacist recommended. Dr. Jackson called a pharmacist, and arranged the prescription I requested. [I'd talked to three other dental offices about my pain mgt. challenges -- but only Dr. Jackson was willing to follow up with my request] Consequently I've only had to take two of the pain pills and have avoided the excessive and very problematic retching from pain killers previously prescribed by other doctors. --------------------------------- I had gone in expecting a general anesthetic but was refused because I'd drank a little water that day. I was forced to either accept sedation or reschedule. I chose sedation over rescheduling. I think the sedation approach was actually better due to a faster recovery from the sedation than from a general anesthetic. While there were a couple misunderstandings he and his staff resolved them professionally. Good value for the cost. Definitely recommend

My daughter flew up from San Diego on a recommendation for Dr. Jackson and was given to believe that the cost of removal of wisdom teeth would be far less expensive than it was. A procedure that lasted a matter of minutes cost over $1200. And no one could explain why it was so much more expensive than we had been quoted beforehand. Patients should be very cautious about misinformation about coss that is given by Dr. Jackson's staff.
