Dr Scianamblo is an exceptional practioner who also has trained others world wide in correct procedures for treatment success of root canals.
Dr Scianamblo has performed 5 root canals on me (I refused to wear a night guard starting in my 20s.)
He is also one of the rare specialists willing to resolve patients' endodontic issues from other professionals who were incompetent.
I have never had any pain or other issue after Dr Scianamblo has treated me. He is honest, forthright, stands behind his work. In extreme pain, he has squeezed me in his schedule so I did not have to go thru another sleepless night.
Yes, he is expensive. How important to you is the quality of the root canal, knowing you will never experience endodonic pain again?

He is very personable and professional. He explains things very well. An endodontist in San Francisco had totally botched a root canal which I should have sued the guy for and Scianamblo fixed it.

Today I had my 4th root canal done by Dr Michael Scianamblo. Almost no pain ( roots were inflamed) and no stress at all. Sad to say, but my teeth are in VERY bad condition (I'm from Ukraine), and I had 2 teeth which were due to be deleted, because, roots were in awful condition after root canals which were done back in Ukraine... Professor Michael Scianamblo re-did everything, and only thanks to him my teeth were saved.
To be honest, I'm very picky in choosing dentist because I've had enough problems with my teeth (dentist was not professional enough, you know what I mean), but I completely rely on him. He is absolutely brilliant endodontist! Yes, he is a bit expensive, but his work worth EVERY penny. I need to redo 5 more root-canals and Ill go only to him, because my health is very important for me and it is not easy to find a doctor whom easy to trust, like Dr. Scianamblo

With some apprehension, I made an appointment for my first root canal on very short notice. Dr Scianamblo made my first root canal experience a non-event and made me wonder about the horror stories that I had heard from others about this procedure.

I had a root canal performed at Dr. Scianamblo's office. He was amazing. Incredibly gentle and always concerned with my well being and comfort. I have NEVER laughed in a dental chair in my life-he and his assistant had me laughing and feeling great. Everyone in his office is a delight. They are professional, kind, communicative, and made my procedure a good experience. I'm not wishing for another root canal but if I have to have one there is no question I will be having Dr. Scianamblo do the procedure.

Office was very efficient, very helpful with billing and insurance. Dental equipment seemed very modern. Dental work was performed efficiently and seems to be a success. Dr, Scianamblo took care to minimize pain and anxiety.

I had to have a last minute root canal and Dr. Scianamblo was marvelous! He promised me it would be a straight forward, painless procedure - and it was! I was so nervous, but he and his staff reassured me constantly. They explained everything, told me what they were doing, checked on me during the procedure. Great chairside manners all-around. I will go back to him over and over again.... that is if I have to have more of these procedures done. Hopefully it won't be for a LONG time.

I just had a root canal by Dr. Scianamblo and it was done perfectly. Everything he did was great and he saved my tooth. This is my second root canal with Dr. Scianamblo and my husband has had 3 root canals with him. Everyone in is office were very professional and that includes Diane. She handled everything correctly for us . My husband had a root canal by a different Endodonist in San Rafael who did not do it correctly which caused the root canal to fail. Dr. Scianamblo tried to save it but was unable to. The tooth was badly cracked and he had to remove it surgically. My husband had very little discomfort and took only one pain pill. I had no discomfort after my root canal that took 2 hours. I did not need any pain medication of any kind. This Doctor is the very best. My husband regrets that he let his regualr dentist send him to a different Endodontist in Marin. That will never happend again.

Dr. Scianamblo is expensive but worth every dollar. Unfortunately his admin support is utterly incompetent. My wife has used Dr. Scianamblo's services on four separate occasions and on every occasion the admin (Dianne) has made significant errors such as billing the wrong insurance carrier, calling in prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy, etc. etc. While the dental treatment itself takes only a couple of hours on each occasion, I have to spend many more hours sorting out the mistakes Dr. Scianamblo's admin has made. What's even worse is the fact that even when I point out an error (like billing the wrong insurance carrier) the admin then goes and repeats the mistake again (and again....). This is leading us to look for an alternative dental practicioner simply because of the hassle factor, which is a great shame.
