Dr. Stieglitz and his assistant are both friendly and mindful of your comfort. His office is immaculate, he has the latest imaging and operating technology, and he has the latest entertainment media to distract you from any dread you may have of the dentist's chair.
He's expensive but you get thorough and friendly service for your money.

I have been to Dr. Stieglitz for root canals about six times over the last 15 years and he is an expert amongst experts. Simply put, my mouth is a mess and I always wait until I'm in unbearable pain to call for an appointment. All of the work he has done in my mouth is still in good shape. I go to him and am comfortable putting all my trust into his recommendations. I have never been disappointed in the outcome.

Not a spa or a hotel, but a thoroughly professional practice by a thoroughly professional practitioner. Dr. Stieglitz is quick, efficient, deft; there's never a bumpy moment, and all procedures he's done stayed done. You can learn quite a bit about a person as you observe them hunched over your gaping maw. From everything I've observed and learned, Dr. Stieglitz remains my recommended choice.

In no time he found the problem and took care of it painlessly.
The second visit was like a nightclub act, we laughed raucously the whole time! Then my rootcanal was done to perfection.

I have really bad PANIC ATTACKS in ANY DENTIST OFFICE, but you are made to feel so comfortable. Dr. Stieglitz is a very kind man with a fabulous chairside manner. This is my 2nd root canal in less than 4 months and it was painfree. WHile I was waiting to see him, another patient (a DR.) had a ton of root canals with him and also raved about him. Dr. Stieglitz even corrected this gents work from another DR. I would highly recommend him for any root canal. I watched a movie and had headphones on thruout the procedure. It really was painfree. I was referred to Dr. Stieglitz thru my General Dentist who is one of the TOP PROFESSORS at NYU MEDICAL CENTER... SHe also raved about him!!! He is careful in his work and explains everything to you. Time just flew by. I do not even have any post-op pain...... VERY MINIMAL. Before you even consider anyone else on this site, CALL HIM.. I UNDERSTAND how frightening it is and he calms me down and makes me so relaxed. I trust him so much. He is at 30 East 40th STreet and its so convenient. Good luck to you,

I had visited my general dentist a few weeks prior for a root canal on an infected tooth. I sat in the chair for almost 3 hours and had more shots of novacaine then the average person. He could not get me numb, and I felt a lot of pain--he coudln't even work on me that day and sent me home. A few days later I visited Dr. Stieglitz and in 30 seconds I was fully numb. He performed the root canal and it was the best one I ever had. I didn't feel a thing and there was no discomfort after. I was even able to go to the gym that night. He's a great dentist, and I highly recommend him to anyone that's afraid of root canals!
