I had the worst experience!!!!!!!!!!! I have no idea who was working with me. Very expensive, too many games with in network and out of network. The office does not contact the insurance company to verify your covarage. The office tells you something and you receive something the problem is no one would take responsibility. The terrible thing that the dentist calls you home trying to collect money..............

the office staff are wonderful. Getting appointments is easy - no waiting for months. Dr Meola is excellent - knowledgable, professional and friendly. I have been going here for years.

Meolas associate drilled a hole in my head during a crown and instead of treating my injuries told me I was fine and it would just go away. Over a year later I still have jaw pain daily and can barely chew my food. Dr. Meola's office and associates won't even let me have my x-rays to show to a real doctor who can help me.
Meola's associate that drilled into my head also put in the stitches. I couldn't open my mouth to eat for over two weeks and Meola's office insisted I was fine. Then the associate made fun of me during a follow up appointment when I complained about the pain. I had to wait two months until the crown could be put in and then it DIDN'T FIT.
NINE DAYS after the crown was put in my mouth it broke into pieces in my mouth while I was drinking coffee. Insurance company told me I had to go back and let the same dentist drill the rest of the crown out of my head. He joked he did much better the second time.
After another month of horrendous pain and not being able to eat, I got the second crown on and couldn't close my mouth. Finally went to a REAL dentist who fitted it properly.
To this day I cannot even eat a sandwich as my jaw hurts so much EVERY DAY ALL DAY.
This dentist now teaches at BU Dental.

I was passed around to every doctor on his staff, and charged plenty of $$ for absolutely nothing.
Procedures are painful and nobody really cares.
It's a very tense and stressful environment-lots of whispering
and not enough communication with patient.
I overheard him and his assistant ridiculing a patient who had complained of pain during treatment.
Dr. and staff are rude and uncaring. They seem to be trying to create problems instead of solving the ones that really exist.
Dr. Meola does very little hands-on work. Assistants are the ones that do everything and I have to say again, communication
is poor. I couldn't imagine getting a cosmetic result that I wanted
when the doctor is so uninvolved (and in a big hurry).
In the end, I went elsewhere for my smile makeover.

i ended with no front teeth at age 31! it was a shcock after all the promises. also my payment record was lost, i was asked to pa y again- for what? i never got the crowns- at first they didnt fit and looked horrible, much darker than would macth and had the wrong shape, then i had to wait 6 months! my temporaries fell out and some broke and i was forced to seek treatment elsewhere! dr meola was very polite elaborate in promising and gave me full attnetion until i agreed to start the treatment. after that- he never gave me the time of the day! not only- he was rude and slightly agressive!

Waited over an hour and a half until he finally saw me for an initial Invisalign consult. During that time he was holed up in his office with hygenists scared to interrupt him as he could be heard yelling in the office. When he finally examined me he was extremely phony and unapologetic. I had to make another appointment to see the orthodontist in Waltham (after visiting his Brookline office). The visit went well and I was told I needed one more visit with Dr. Meola and a periodontist back in Brookline...while there I was told I needed FOUR fillings!!!! The reason I was given was that because I had small cavities and would need to address them now because with Invisalign you cannot have any dental work done that would change the way the implants fit. I was basically forced into getting FOUR NEEDLESS fillings and now need TWO ROOT CANALS because they damaged my teeth! I had to go back to my GREAT Dentist (Dr. Jack Share) feeling like a jerk!
I don't recommend anyone have work done here as I think they tend to generate dental work at the patient's expense. I felt extremely pressured whenever I was there. I wish Dr. Glick (the ortho) worked out of another practice as he was very nice and confident.

First class act. The drs here at above average. The office follow up can be sloppy such as advising on consultation fees and making appts after the drs go on vacation. They also neglected to advise on cost of a cat scan. I would recommend anyone to go here, this is a very professional office.

I've been going to Dr. Meola's Waltham Office for years, and I have nothing but praise for him and the staff! The hours are AWESOME! I can readily say that I RECOMMEND Dr. Meola & Associates! Have had a few fillings there and 2 baby teeth extractions. Price is a little on the expensive side, BUT is money WELL WORTH IT!

I had a lot of work done at Dr. Meola's office last spring. This included a root canal and at least 4 cavity fillings. After this work, the Dr. told me that I had another 4 cavities that needed filling but, since my insurance had run out by this time, I had 2 options; I could either pay for the fillings out of pocket or "risk it" and wait until I had coverage again. I decided on the later and yesterday went to ANOTHER dentist office in the area, Gentle Dental, to get x-rays and a check up. I told the Dr. there that I knew I had at least 4 cavities and would need those filled along with anything else that needed to be done. To my surprise and relief, I was told by the Dr. at Gentle Dental that I didn't have ANY cavities and that my teeth looked fine. Cavities do not just go away. I believe Dr. Meola's office exaggerates dental problems for their own profitable gains.
