Dr. Heggen is amazing! I never would have believed that a root canal could be pain free but mine was... completely.
Dr. Heggen was informative as each step was taking place and exuded genuine care and concern for my comfort and well-being. He was focused on the task but was acutely aware of my participation in the event. He even took a little time to talk about golf after the procedure.
The office staff was also extremely friendly and helpful in every aspect. I highly recommend Dr. Heggen without a single reservation.
He has a gift.

I was referred to Dr. Heggen by Dr. Gregg Uechert for root canal treatment on two teeth. After explaining my previous disasterous experiences with dental treatment and my anxiety level, Dr. Heggen was quick to offer my options for a more relaxed dental experience. He and his staff are very attentive to your comfort and will quickly take care of any discomfort you might be having. One root canal was done with nitrous oxide only (in addition to the shots) and the second one I had taken Halcion as prescribed for an even more relaxed appt. I can honestly say that I did not have any 'pain' at either visit -- thanks to the care of Dr. Heggen (even the shots were not painful -- believe it or not).
I have a third appt set up later this month to complete the 2nd root canal after an infection was discovered while starting the root canal. I have my fingers crossed that my 3rd visit to their office will be pain-free as well.

Dr. Heggen and his staff are professional and friendly. I have had two root canals and they were pain free. I have never experienced pain free dental work before or since. Dr. Heggen is patient and has great chair-side manners. Everyone there is great from front desk to assistants!

I am completely terrified of dentists. Dr. Heggen and his staff are wonderful about minimizing the stress during one of the worst dental procedures - ROOT CANALS! They offer various levels of sedation, play relaxing music, offer a blanket for warmth and constantly ask if you are OK throughout the procedure. They also don't lecture you about not having perfect teeth or dental hygiene. Dr. Heggen has done 2 of my root canals and I haven't had any complications from either one. I have a friend who has used him for tooth extractions and she has loved his service too.
