Dr. Mike is a good doctor. But my daughter was treated by his brother, Dr. Josh, for a filing and he is not as patient friendly. Scared my 5-yr old during the first part of anesthetic that she never even want to pass by the dentist building. She screamed very loud, and had most of the medicine all over her face instead of being swallowed. They went on with the filling anyway and in the middle of it came out to tell me root canal & crown are suddenly needed now and I have 10 seconds to decide. They're ok for dental maintenance but if they say you need procedures or filling done, go for second opinion. It's all about income to the doctor, not about patient care. Some staff are not as kid friendly. Nicer facility but that's about it. We no longer go there.

About Front Desk: Worst staff- the blonde hair lady at check out. Very rude and she does not know how to do her job. I work for insurance company so don't just believe the doctor's bill. She does not understand the concept of credit on account, she does not know how to apply EOB allowance into patient's statement. Prior to the procedure, she had to do 4 different treatment plans because I kept catching her mistakes on how much the insurance covers. Their trick is to go over everything quickly so you don't understand or ask questions. If you go slowly and ask line by line, compare with what the insurance benefits, they don't know how to answer. After getting EOB and I notice that I have overpaid the doctor, I called and she kept saying she has to check with the insurance. I have recorded phone call with her, where she was getting very confused between EOB, statement, and existing credit on the account. I hope the office management team knows that lady really needs a lot of help in getting her work done correctly and especially in doing what's called customer service. I'm not surprised that a lot of patients leave this practice because of how this lady treats patients at check out and with statement and billing issues. In fact at the new dentist, I meet at least 4 different moms who move from Dr. Saxe's practice because of similar encounter with the blonde hair lady at check out.
