Dr. Koonin is on the top shelf of all the medical and dental doctors I have dealt with. He is very skilled in every aspect of his practice and goes way beyond the easy, usual way of treatment to see that I am happy with the results. He is kind and considerate and I have never felt even a twinge of pain even without an anesthetic. I recommend him highly.
About Front Desk: Help in any way and every need I require . Friendly and competent.
About Hygienist: Five stars. She is friendly, skilled and thorough. I never experienced any discomfort and leave feeling my teeth are clean.

Dr. Koonin has treated myself and so many in my family for many years. He has always taken great care to ensure that I felt no pain which was huge to me. He also was very fair with me in regards to the cost. When I was unable to pay he allowed me to pay off my bill. I used to live in Brooklyn. I now travel almost two hours to his office. I love Dr. Koonin and his staff!!!

Dr Koonin is my geneal Dentist. I see him yearly or when I have a problem. At all times he is conforting and very professional. He has done root canals and all of my Dental needs. He has recommened a Dental Surgon who was terrific. Dr. Koonin is my family dentist. My wife and daughter (who worked for another dentist part time) have been going to him. I have a great respect for him, it's because of him I even go to a dentist. He does not take insurance. His staff is professional and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. I do not usually do these reviews, however my experience in the last few weeks makes me want to help others.

He is a gem! He is very kind and patient as well as a great dentist. He is knowledgeable, gentle, talented, sensitive and caring. You almost never wait for your appointment. They take you ON TIME! The office is clean and neat and his staff is very friendly and efficient. I recommended him to many friends and family members and they all love him.
About Hygienist: I know his hygienist for years. She is excellent at her skill and a lovely person too. This dental office is excellent .

as much as i like the dentist and his light touch, it is so difficult to deal with his secretary/billing person. She is rude and abrasive, and "perfect". She is not quick to admit any mistake nor to fix one. The rest of the staff seem fine though.
About Hygienist: I really like the lady who does the routine cleanings. She has patience and a light touch.

He successfully filled filling where several dentists insisted it could not be done, and one dentist left my wife in such serious pain that heavy codein pills did not help one bit. Dr. Koonin immediately fixed her tooth (with a simple filling) and the pain was gone! He's light on the hands, has excellent skills of filling hard to fill fillings that other dentists make worse not better. He does not accept any insurance that I know of and he's not cheap but we keep coming back cause we dislike pain and losing teeth even more.
The only downside is that his billing person is in our opinion EXTREMELY hard to work with and is the major source of pain that we have found in his office. That person simply refuses to be respectful nor helpful nor get our billing done promptly and often hangs up on us and seems very insulting to us in our humble opinion. Yes I realize this is our opinion, and we have expressed it. Better the dentist should NOT be the source of pain in the office so he's still worth seeing dispite that EXTREMELY problematic billing problem.
About Hygienist: They do a nice job and are less painful than other places! so that is another plus about his office.
