I have been seeing Dr. Chass for years, and then lately she feels more like a super aggressive bill collector than dentist. Even though I have always paid my bills on time of visit and even though I told her I would pay fees for projected work upon arrival in office with my credit card -- she continued to hound and harass me and ultimately cancelled an important dentist appointment when I was in pain. It is hard to understand because her office is on Madison and 60th, does she really need to be that aggressive and fearful she won't be paid? In the end, it just isn't worth it -- nothing is worth feeling that kind of desperation and fear. I would describer her as nothing less than mentally unstable.
About Front Desk: Absolutely horrific and annoying...you will be harassed for booking appointments and payment endlessly.

Dr. Chass is painless when it comes to cleaning. I have been with her for over 10 years. I do think that sometimes her mood affects her work. Otherwise, I think she is good dentist.

Dr. Chass does her own cleanings and generally does a good job, but one should be aware that she presses teeth close together when possible (claiming that this prevents food from getting stuck between teeth), that she prefers to put on a crown as soon as possible and that she loves to send you to jaw reduction surgery if a crown requires it.
She is one of the most professional providers you will find in the NYC area, but some of her practices are not necessarily the best way of solving a problem, only the most expensive. She also does not cover the area around the repair spot and does not rely on laser devices to identify cavities. She has digital xray capability and is quite good at interpreting the images.
All in all, this is a top specialist but if you want to save bone tissue or dentine, she may not be the best choice for you.

What a pleasure to be worked on by Dr. Chass. Regarding the crown she did for me, she was both an artist and a perfectionist. I highly recommend Dr. Chass.
