Gerstman is your typical average dentist. No high-tech equipment, but he's polite and competent. His Empire State Building office does offer good views. He bills your insurance company very high prices, and at the price he bills he's certainly not in the level of quality you would expect. Perhaps if you don't have insurance he would charge more reasonable rates, but I would not particularly count on that, becuase they will nickel and dime you to death if you owe them anything. Overall I'm satisfied, but you could do much better for the rates they charge.

Been a patient for 15 yrs. Gerstman is knowledgable has high standards. He's got a good touch. You're not pawned off to a sepereate hygenist, the Dr. does it all himself and in the doing pays extra attention to your teeth and gums. He's consvative about proceedures too if you don't really need it he doesn't do it. We've been watching this one pocket I have for 6 yrs, once it got inflamed and we thought it might need to be operated on, he did a cleaning, I took some antibiotics for a few days, the inflamation went down and it's been fine ever since. I know other doc would have done an expensive proceedure on me. Staff is attentive and professional. They work well with the insurance company too. A few years back i had a rear molar shatter while I was away, found an emergency dentist to care for me who was extreamly impressed when he looked in my mouth. "You've got an excellent dentist" he said.

best dental experience ever! they had 'finding nemo' on TV in the waiting room, really nice hygenists, and the dr. himself is very patient and pleasant to go to.
