I bring my 3 children to Dr. Mozaffari, and we are very happy with the service and care that he and his staff provide. He and Dr. Witter treat children with respect, and speak to them in a way that they respond well to. Hygeniests and office staff are friendly and helpful. My eldest daughter, now 7, hugs Dr. Mozaffari every time she sees him. She absolutely adores him. The kids leave with clean mouths and new toothbrushes quite happily. Dr. Mozaffari and Dr. Witter always take the time to explain whatever needs to be told to either me or my spouse, the children's father, for instance, to watch for a stain that may turn into a cavity.
If I didn't already have a dentist and dental hygienist that I like and have been using for years prior to finding Dr. Mozaffari, I would probably switch to Dr. Mozaffari and myself.
The only bummer is that this dental practice doesn't take our dental insurance, so we have to take care of the claims process ourselves, not knowing how much we will get reimbursed.

I paid Dr. Jahangir Mozaffari for multiple dental services for a single tooth.
Short Recap: many months ago and yet my dental problem continues. Many appointments with Jahangir Mozaffari have failed to produce a satisfactory result and yet Jahangir Mozaffari also refused to refund my money. later I heard that he had a history of this type of conduct and that my complaint was certainly not the only one.
Detailed Explanation: Basically I had severe tooth pain, during my first visit, he suggested me and performed an Root Canal, later the crown failed several times, so he extracted my tooth and suggested for a bridge. again it's failed. He advised me to have crowns for the neighboring teeth and Implant for the missed tooth. At last Implant also failed, as a final suggestion, he forced me to have Bone grafting with some other Oral Surgeon.. but I not agreed and asked him for refund. He refused. My kind advice is Stay away from Dr. Jahangir Mozaffari, New York Implant Dentist.

I've known him and used him for a while, but he has recently started taking financial advantage of me, posting procedures he hasn't done and double-charging for procedures. I was shocked to speak to a girl friend of mine who uses him too and had the same experience. He is a sweet talker and very nice but I'm shocked now that I'm going over the bills with my dental records.

He did root canal for me. It was terrible. He never uses Rubber dam (which is standard hygenien requirement for root canal)...he doesn't have assistant during the root canal...He also dropped the electronic sensor on his gawn, but he picked up and continued to apply in my mouth..it was aweful experience.
He also overcharge. He didn't do any cleaning and only 2 min examination, but he charged full X-ray, comprehensive and cleaning to my insurance.
The worst thing is: my root canal have been paining for more than 5 weeks, but he said it's normal and doesn't care!!!
I will not go back to him. No Way!

He is the best dentist so far. He gives full time to his patients understanding their problem and suggest best solution.

Dr. John is a great dentist. He takes a really long time which aggravates some people but it ensures that the job he's doing is right. He removed 4 of my molars, gave me braces and now i go to him for my regular cleanings. Love this guy.

Dr.Mozaffari is friendly, patient, a good listener and has a good sense of humor; he openly and clearly presents the problems and the possible methods of treatment. He is an expert in his field and imaginative in finding the best possible solution in a given situation.
He examines the teeth while he also does the cleaning. In his treatment, he is extremely sensitive; I never felt any pain, yet I also never felt any of the anesthetics after leaving the office. During a root canal treatment, I actually dozed off while he carefully and thoroughly cleaned the canal.
He waits for the insurance to make their payment before expecting any money from the patient. He will also call the insurance if he disagrees with their assessment.
His scheduling is such that here is rarely any waiting time (or maybe I was just lucky), and his employees could not be nicer.

Dr. Mozaffari doesn't work very quickly, but that's what makes him so good. He is extremely gentle I've got a pretty low tolerance for pain. Former dentists have dealt with this by loading me up on tons of novacaine which left me tingly and drooling for hours after a simple proceedure. Dr. Mozaffari somehow managed to find the right balance of anesthetic so that I wasn't feeling crippled by novacaine. He's also a doll about explaining whatever work you need. He's a very considerate practitioner. He also has a lovely medical secretary and assistant
