excellent, painless! Smilack has been my dentist for my whole life. I have gone to other dentists and never liked them as well.

I think clinically Dr. Smilak is one of the best. His bed side manner is a bit gruff. I had a couple of negative experiences and utlimately switched dentists. He seems to have a little less patience with patients and his staff than some other dentists I have been to. Their office is in the "hood" and I often worry about leaving my car there. I wonder why they don't move to a nicer area? The front office staff are nice, although since it's a family run office you do sense some tension between those that are "family" and those that are not. Again, I think his work is top notch but the overall experience leaves much to be desired.

Dr Smilack has been caring for me for over twenty years! I first met him as a student at The Ohio State University. I live more than eighty miles away from Columbus, and still travel today to see Dr Smilack as I'm assured great clinical and diagnostic care that is unparalleled. He has a newer partner Jeff Hanin DDS who recently helped w/ a splintering of enamel on one of my lower teeth due to grinding. Both dentists have taken great care of me and handled well any issues that I needed accomodation with including juggling schedules to squeeze me in when needed. Also, their administrative support team - Donna, Cathy have been wonderful as well! Kudos to the hygienists (sp?) who also keep my smile bright! Dr. Smilack is the best! My family goes to him and have been for years. And before him my parents went to his father!
