First of all, this dentist is super mean & to his staff. He treats them like they're beneath him. The 1st words out of his mouth to me were "I'm a born again Christian." I thought that was a weird 1st 1st choice of words to say. Ironically, he was the furthest thing from a godly man that I've seen.
He was rude to me as well AND with the three crowns he did, he charged me $3,000. I soon realized I was still having pain and I got two other opinions from other dentists and they stated that he obviously didn't know what he was doing b/c there are huge gaps in between the crown and where it's supposed to sit. I know have to have them redone. I had paid over half the bill and then he bills me for DOUBLE the original amount for "late" payments...for a crappy job. He then proceeds to tak us to court and of course since I signed what they say was the diagnosis (was really saying "you will pay whatever we say your total is.") So we didn't have a leg to stand on apparently. He now has started the proceedings of garnishing our wages.
Mr. Bernsdorf is not a well-trained dentist...he just wants the money and pretends he knows what he's doing. All in all, I think he's a little snake in the grass and now I know why each time I went t

I have mixed feelings. He is friendly, and pretty thorough in his explanations of the work needed. He pulled 2 of my wisdom teeth that were fully in, and it was way less traumatic than I expected. He also phoned me after hours to make sure I wasn't in too much pain. He made my two young children feel at ease for their first dental visits. So that's the good stuff.
The bad is that he did two crowns on my upper back molars. He was teaching a student how to do crowns and I guess I was one of the guinea pigs. He did the prep-work himself, and the student did the crown installation. In any case, he had the final inspection and say on the work, so I hold him responsible for the results. It is about 4 years since I had the crowns, and they have been nothing but trouble. The way they were cemented left a ridge at the seam where bacteria have been having a heyday. I could feel the seam, but didn't know that I shouldn't be able to, and he did check the work so he should have noticed the ridge. Long story short, at least one crown now needs to be replaced, after just 4 years. That's the only way to get at the cavities that are eating their way underneath, despite my diligent brushing/flossing. I get pay twice for the work now! :(

Dr. Bernsdorf and his staff are Outstanding!! Not only a very Friendly & Beautiful Office, but a staff that makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. My family and I have had many different procedures over the past 20 something years and each time felt comfortable and confident knowing the results would be nothing short of PERFECTION!! This dentist is a total rip-off. This facility runs like a pawnshop, not like a dentist hospital.
When you check for the price of a procedure they gave one price, they filed insurance a totally different price.
When I enquired about the discrepancy in pricing their answer was totally vague, inaccurate and incomplete.
Their way of doctor consultation is after total oral sedation where you cant even talk after sedation.
The ultimate example for their professionalism is that when I visited their office for tooth filling first they numbed my gums by sedative injection then doctor called his assistant to discuss the pricing and insurance options and when I asked about price discrepancy they walked-out by telling me to reschedule the appointment. I had to leave the office with frustration and numbness on my gums.
They dont have minimum commonsense of discussing the options before they start any process.
They left a voicemail on my phone about my scheduled appointment time. When I reached the doctors office at their given time, they claim that I was late and they gave me different appointment time.

I had a few crowns done. The first was a cerac, and he hadn't done too many yet. It failed and he had to do a traditional crown. It was at not cost to me though. Then the other two crowns cause problems because food gets stuck between them. Not done well at all.
He is very nice, but the general opinion is he does procedures even if they are unnecessary.
Also, a staff person talked about other patients while in my presence.

I have been going to Dr. Bernsdorf for over 10 years. Most of the time, I have been satisfied with his work. Customer service is fairly good. However, I am not happy with a crown that was done recently. I noticed that it had a gap in it. I was experiencing a lot of sensitivity where the crown was for over a year after the work was done. I asked about redoing it and was told that it cannot be redone and that I should just use sensitivity toothpaste. I am concerned that food could get trapped in it and cause later problems. I am searching now to can get a second opinion on having it redone.
