Procedures were check-ups only. Worst dentist ever, and I have had them on the east coast, west coast, midlands, even in the army. I kept my last dentist in the southeast for 30 years before I moved. This guy was the worst by far. He spent no more than 5 minutes with me, TOTAL, in 7 appointments. I switched to a new dentist who immediately spotted a problem. I recommend going elsewhere.

Horrible! Chris Blume preformed a root canal on my tooth and it got abscessed with a few months. I was almost hospitalized and had to do out-patient care for almost a month pumping antibiotics straight into my heart to get the infection out of my jaw. Once the infection subsided, I got the root canal fixed, there was about ½ of my roots still left in the tooth! I would not only NOT recommend him but recommend you STAY AWAY!!

I began visiting Dr. Blume’s office because my insurance changed and he was in network where as my previous dentist was not. Anyway, they told me I needed a procedure that was not necessary, and did not even tell me that I was going to have to pay out of pocket because it “wasn’t” covered by my insurance. When lo and behold I called the insurance company and they actually coded wrong so my insurance paid 60%. I never received my refund, and Dr. Blume’s office charged my insurance and me for the procedure. All they want is money. They also, missed two cavities that were forming because the dentist was rushing through the visit. I have now gone back to my other dentist even though they are out of my network.

Dr. Blume and his staff are less than ethical. I would suggest that if you want accountability in a dentist...this is NOT the one you want. Crowns he put in were done poorly. Within a year after putting them in, they developed cavities and spider fractures. He denied requests to fix the shoddy work. We had to have another dentist fix them at our own expense.
Staff is as rude too. Not at first, mind you. They are sweet as can be as long as no one ever challenges them with a problem. When they called to cancel an appointment, they pressured us to reschedule on the spot. We needed to go over our calendar before reschuling. This wasn't good enough apparently, as they continued to call our home phone and cell phone every couple of hours. When my husband tried to let them know about the multiple calls, they denied making them and were very rude. When he asked to speak with Dr. Blume about it, they said that Dr. Blume does not speak directly with patients.
Beware of this dental practice.

Dr. Blume is great! He and his staff are very professional. I'm at ease with him and my kids love to go there too. Yes my kids always want to know when they can go again. His staff is very helpful and his office is really nice and calming. I love it here! I stumbled on him because my 10 year old woke up one day and her tooth was in extreme pain. We had just moved in the area 2 years ago and hadn't found a dentist yet. We called everywhere and his office was the only one that would take us that day. We were so impressed with everyone and how they treated us. The only down side is my 6 year old needed a filling one day and he couldn't do it. But his staff did send us to a great dentist for her as well. They really do care about you here.

My experience of contacting Dr. Blume's office by phone to schedule an appointment was pleasant and efficient. Since this was my first visit I needed to supply my historical data which I was able to do in advance through his online website . . . I liked that. The facility was very new therefore it was quite nice. Very important to me was that my appointment time was adhered to. Everyone there conducted themselves in a friendly and professional manner. I can't speak to whether or not Dr. Blume is the best in my area but I am definitley going back and my wife will go to him also.

I recently changed insurance and went to Dr. Blume simply because it was close to my office and on my insurance. Their office looks like a little house and the decor is very home-like and soothing. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hygienist was also friendly and explained everything she was doing and why and gave me some good tips. Dr. Blume was upbeat and knowledgable. My insurance covered everything (x-rays, exam and cleaning), so I didn't pay a penny. This is definitely going to be my permanent dental office!
