Read Reviews for Dr. Eugene Roytman
Dr. Eugene Roytman was very attentive and caring. Spent a lot of time explaing me all my options. He even referred me to an Oral Surgent for an additional consultaion. His office is bi-lingual - Russian and Spanish. All his stuff is extremely knowlegeable and professional.

I am reviewing Dr. Roytman even though technically I was not allowed to see him. I had scheduled an appt. with him for the first time (had my insurance changed over to him, etc.). His office at 2494 Mission confirmed my appt. at 12:45 p.m. Upon arrival, I was notified that Dr. Roytman wasn't supposed to be in that day (even though I'd scheduled an appt. with him) and I would be seeing Dr. Ochev. As long as he's good. I then waited for an hour before I was shown to a dental chair and then another half hour before Dr. Ochev saw me. I calmly expressed my grievance over the wait time and was told that the lunch hour is at 1 p.m. (Then why schedule an appt. at 12:45?) Dr. Ochev was cordial but didn't really seem too concerned about my grievance and nodded his head and that was it. Thanks for listening. The cleaning I had was very perfunctory and took 20 minutes (soup to nuts) even though I hadn't been to a dentist in two years. I have been to good dentists before and in my opinion this experience was not up to the care and respect I expect in a dental appt. Dr. Roytman should perhaps have more of a hand in how these matters are played out considering my appt. and insurance is with him and not Dr. Ochev. I am looking for a new dentist.

I love Dr. Roytman and the staff at Gentle Dental. When I first saw them I had not seen a dentist in 10 years and had recently had my wisdom teeth out by a terrible dentist on San Bruno Avenue. I am very afraid of dentists. Dr. Roytman always shakes my hand when I arrive and asks about my anxiety level.
I had several crowns and fillings over a 6 month period. This included many injections in my mouth, which Dr. Roytman always handled with great care. He always asked about my anxiety level during proceedures and would take breaks with me when necessary.
Furthermore, this year I received a fourth injury to the front of my mouth while at work. I was seen immediately by Dr. Roytman, who gave me a referral to an oral surgeon when he saw that my palette was broken. Over the next 6 months I had multiple root canals by Dr. Roytman on my two front teeth on top. My mouth was very pained and he always took great care of me. His office manager, Suzy, also did a tremendous amount of work on my case as it was a Worker's Comp claim. She even helped to get an emergency root canal because the process was so bogged down.
I reccommend Dr. Roytman to all of my friends because he's the best.

Please do not go see Dr. Roytman and avoid Gental Dental at Mission and 21st. Service was extremely slow and the receptionists were rude and aggressive. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment, during which time the dental hygenist tried very hard to sell me expensive teeth whitening products.
Dr. Roytman is handsome and charming. He seemed very concerned about my general health and stress level as he informed me that I had 9 new cavities and had ground most of the enamel off my teeth. Dr. Roytman recommended that I buy special fluoride rinse, be fitted for a nightguard to prevent grinding, and make 4 follow-up appointments to have my cavities filled. I walked out of the office near tears.
A second dentist looked at the x-rays taken at Gentle Dental and told me I have 4 cavities and do not have significant enamel damage. I feel like Dr. Roytman and Gentle Dental were trying to make money off of me and my insurance company at the expense of my teeth. Patients are in a vulnerable position with respect to medical professionals and I think it is outrageous that dentists like Dr. Roytman take advantage of that vulnerability.
