Horrible - fired from last job scams people for kickbacks She is a horrible person for what she did to so many people. She let people suffer needlessly while she got kickbacks for sending patients that had no choice for oral surgery and denture sales. This woman has multiple claims on her license and does not actually do any dental work. She abused the system for her own gain and is a horrible person in general. She was eventually fired for this. She did this to 600 people that had no other option but her. I hope she enjoyed her kickbacks from people’s pain and suffering while she did absolutely nothing but let people suffer and lose teeth. A scam artist and horrible person.

Dr. Davis was found guilty of Substandard Care, Incompetence or Negligence (11/7/2011) by the Virginia Board of Dentistry. Her license was not revoked because of some technicalities in the complaint, but she was accused of and found guilty of incompetence in that matter. She also has two other cases that were filed against her in the past and in which she was found guilty.

About Front Desk: Dr. Davis's husband, Dr. Holley, is her front desk staff and her dental hygenist. He was stripped of his DDS license, and now works for her in these capacities, even though he is not a licensed dental hygenist.

I waited 1.5 hours to be seen, with no explanation or appology. The entire office is decorated like a home, not a medical facility. Lots of scented candles and knicknacks. The Dr never introduced herself to me. There were a lot of long awkward silences. She commented 2x on my "bad" acne and suggested herbal remedies.. bizarre?? Drawers in the exam room were labeled with hand-written stickers: "Syringes" I explained in advance that I have a lot of anxiety about dentists, and was very nervous. She did not respond, comment, smile, anything. I should have left right then. The cleaning was PAINFUL, and I repeatedly had to wave my arms to ask her to stop. Afterwards, I was sent into the hallway to talk to the assistant (Her husband, I believe?) He informed me that I need crowns on my 4 front teeth, and what they would cost. I asked MANY questions, and he didnt have many answers. What does that involve? What will they look like? How bad are my teeth? Where are the xrays you took? What other options are there? How soon do I need to do this? Should I see a cosmedic specialist? Can I see samples of her work? The Dentist never came back out of the exam room. I left in tears.

My overall experience was ok - just had a regular checkup/cleaning. Staff was not overly friendly.

We went to take our son to his first appointment...office was closed. No prior notice, no message on their answering machine. Not a good start.

Dr. Gewndolyn Davis did 9 upper crowns on my teeth, and the temporary crowns she placed in my mouth are not at all what a patient would expect a doctor to use. There are gaps between all teeth, and the temporary teeth she used are stained and cracked, all different shapes and sizes, as if the teeth have been used before. I have expressed my frustrstion to the doctor, and her response is "Don't worry about the appearance, the teeth are only temporary" !!!??? When asked to correct the teeth, Dr. Davis comment is that she's too tired to make acceptable temporaries. The temporaries are falling off, and the pain is horrendous, and there is no emergency number to contact any of the doctors in that practice. This is after she has already been PAID IN FULL. I would not take my dog to this practice. This is no exaggeration, the temporaries resemble the teeth of Shrek! I hope this review helps anyone who is looking for a reputable, prefessional dentist.....which she is not.
