I visited his office Dec. 2009 with a loose anterior crown. Well, I have an HMO plan with PacifiCare. As soon as he learned I have a HMO plan, he was turned off because I would not be able to meet his standard price in repairing the loose crown. I have an old dentist who already retired, she usually take it out, resurface and refit it again with dental cement or glue. In the case of Dr. Lou, he recommend that I glue it myself. I was so disappointed with this young doctor and left his office.
I filed a grievance to California Dept of Managed Care and got a reply that his dental practices and customer relationship were investigated.

Minute i arrived, I thought I may have made a bad decision. My friends husband gave me Dr. Lou number. I was close to home so I went. I had a bad feeling because there were NO patients in the waiting area. The girl up front was fairly nice, I had too wait longer than I thought.( no people in waiting area) . I met the dentist. He was O K . to start. When my exam started, he seemed to become kind of " short tempered" with his assistant. which made me uncomfortable.I came in for a sensitive tooth problem, he gave me a laundry list of things I didnt need to have done at that time. I left and never went back. would not recommend!!
About Front Desk: Girl up front as fine. Office manager was "un friendly" like she had worked their too long
Front desk:

Billing is on the high side, frequent scheduled visits over recommended.
