Read Reviews for Dr. Steven Aragon
Dr. Aragon, its been a long time. I never forgot you. You removed my sub mandibular gland (Swedish) and you removed a "gargantuan mass" from my maxillary and then coaxed me through a long process of debridement when the bone began to die. I must have called you after hours constantly. You were patient and smart. It was an ordeal. I always wanted to thank you. So now I am. Susan Haines

my daughter went in to get some implants removed. we drove six hours for a fifteen minute appointment scheduled at ten. we arrived at nine thirty. he took another surgery before ours and we ended up waiting until 11:30 to be seen. very frustrating when i am a doctor myself, have patients at home that need my attention and would never treat my clients this way.

Really hit or miss with quality of care.
His office did an amazing imaging of my jaw joint - like video of my x-ray in motion from multiple angles. Yay! He discovered the I needed a total joint replacement. Yay! A plan! He wanted to do the surgery. Meh. He soured when I mentioned that I was going to do some more research before scheduling the procedure. It is a major surgery after all.
I got a second opinion and had the procedure done at Mayo - where this procedure is routine. They did a great job on this dangerous surgery. There was only a 1 in 3 chance that I would have improvement, and I got lucky. Aragon mentioned nothing about the 1 in 3 chance of no relief and the 1 in 3 chance of it getting worse. Mayo saw me for the 3 month follow-up & told me that I didn't need to go all the way back to Minnesota for the 6-month follow up. (Yay!)
I went to Aragon's office for the 6-month follow-up. His assistant did an image. Aragon may have looked at it. He refused to come into the room to see me. He had wanted to do the surgery. How unprofessional is that? He has sad feelings so he's going to slack on his job?
This is to say, this doctor's quality of care varies based on his emotions.

I had microsurgery nerve repair that was completely unsucessful that left me in extreme pain and as a result I am now disabled. Dr. Aragon promised 90% nerve restoration and only made my condition worse. I initially only had an IAN injury that he was supposed to repair and I ended up with lingual nerve damage which caused the whole right side of my jaw and tongue to become numb.

I became friends with a man who had microsurgery done by Dr. Aragon by referral from Dr. Randall James after a wisdom tooth extraction caused a nerve injury to the IAN nerve. Dr. Aragon promised up to 85 to 90 percent success rate for restoring this nerve. Instead, my friend woke up with injury to the LIngual nerve and no improvement on the IAN nerve. Two weeks later, he performed an exploratory surgery which lasted seven hours, which resulted in a Saggital Split Osteotomy. Nothing was gained from either surgeries only made the conditions worse and now my friend is on disability and has metal plates in his jaw. Not only did this ruin his mouth, he was given astronomical amounts of narcotics that have taken years from his life and seeking help through legal channels was to no avail due to the "don't talk, don't tell rule"" in teaching Institution and their faculty members who make mistakes. A Ten thousand dollar surgery to repair his IAN nerve turned into IAN and Lingual Nerve injuries and a Saggital Split Osteotomy.

Dr. Aragon has performed several surgeries on me and I trust him fully with my life. He has been completely honest with me in my treatment and devised a treatment plan that was unique for my problems. It has been 10 years and I am doing great.

I am a dentist who has practiced in the Denver metro area for over 25 years. I know most of the oral surgeons in town. When I needed a surgeon, I chose Dr Aragon. He is the gold standard in this area, and other oral surgeons refer to him when they need help. Best of the best.

I had a few disagreements with the billing department over Victim's Assistance funding and the difference between the estimates and the actual bill in the end. Otherwise, this was a stellar experience.
The doctor was incredibly patient and informative, and a very sympathetic person. His breadth of specializations covered the entire head; I felt very comfortable having him as my second opinion and, ultimately switching to him for my primary care.
The radiology equipment that they had on-hand was spectacular, as they rendered a 3d model of my skull and identified internal fractures that my initial doctor could not.
The on-site surgery and prescription drug store made for a drastic reduction in costs.

Dr. Aragon has done a sinus lift and bone graft. So far working great. Very little pain involved. I find he and his staff very responsive and accessible. I also find him quite knowledgeable

Good friendly doctor with friendly staff. I had a upper and lower jaw reconstruction due to an asymmetrical jaw growth. Post surgery recovery was really tough due to some unexpected bleeding complications, but Doctor Aragon was there almost daily to check on progress as I was in the ICU for an extra 7 days. It was about 6-7 weeks before I could eat somewhat solid food. You should expect a high out of pocket cost as his office does not help out at all for the portion that the insurance does not cover. I was given an out of pocket estimate of $3600 prior to surgery and ended up having to pay $13,350 even though I was pre-approved for in-network coverage for surgery.
