If you are thinking of going to see Dr Cardenas, find another oral surgeon. He was very rude in the consultation and his staff was abrasive as well. i only went to him because he was on my insurance plan and then underwent the removal of several teeth. i developed an infection after my surgery and ended up going to see another oral surgeon that was not part of his group. I would not recommend Dr. Cardenas or that office.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Cardenas. His office staff is very rude, they treat you like you are in a free- care clinic. Dr Cardenas was also rude and I had a huge complication after my surgery. I would urge you not to use their office

He is very good. I had and extraction done. He was honest about how painful the procedure was going to be. I hate when dentists say "it won't hurt" when they know the pain is unbearable. He was straight forward explaining the procedure and its implications. The extraction was actually less painful than he described it, but he said it always depends on the patient. The customer service can definitely improve, although it was not bad. It was not cheap, but I think it was worth the money. I didn't have any complications. he said I wouldn't feel anything after 3 days, and it was true. He became by family's surgeons after that experience, and has extracted the wisdom teeth of my 3 younger siblings. I definitely recommend it. Keep in mind that if you go to an oral surgeon is because you probably need to get some gum being cut open and broken bone, there is no way to make it easier, but it wasn't bad with him compared to previous doctors (I had 1 extraction made previously)

I have been seeing Dr. Cardenas on and off now for 16 years and I would recommend him to EVERYONE!! It is not often that you find a Doctor and office staff that you love (especially in South Florida), so I feel the need to tell everyone!!

I had the worst experience of my life. I went in to get my wisdom teeth out and got an infection. It is understandable that these things happen but the follow up care was awful. It was very clear the man had no idea what he was doing. I think he did the best he knew how but he didn't have a clue what to do. I got an abcess in my cheek which he then proceeded to cut open & drain on three seperate occasions to know avail. I was acting as my own doctor half the time. The staff was disorganized. None of the other doctors in the group wanted to treat me and yet the staff would tell me to take off work and come in so that the doctor could tell me I would have to see Dr. Cardenas. After the first incise and drain and antibiotics didn't work, I came back in because it looked like I had a ball of candy in the side of my mouth. He was scrubbing my face with surgical scrub and when I realized he was going to cut open my cheek from the outside without even saying anything to me. I am lucky I stopped him or I would probably have a huge scar. I went through another incise and drain before he decided to send me to an infectious disease doctor who cured me with Augmentin an antibiotic. The infection lasted 3 mo. and I have a scar
