1. Our son was a patient of Dr. Mark Truman in 2010. He had been in treatment for two months when we had to relocate to another state. My insurance had paid him 60% of the total cost of treatment up front. We had also given him $500 down and two months worth of payments of around $155 each. When we relocated we thought he would refund part of the insurance money to my son's new orthodontist. He would not!! So, for two months of our ortho care our insurance benefit was down to $400. Of course, he still had 18mo+ of treatment needed. Essentially, we paid for braces twice because of Dr. Truman's greed. When we asked him about it, he said all of the orthos in town do that and he would be happy to explain the formula they all use and reminded us that we signed a contract.
