I have received orthodontic care from Dr. Garai and have been very disappointed. Even though I have been to his office for many appointments in the last 10 months, on at least two occasions he has completely forgotten that I had been his patient and started to give me his introductory speech as if I were brand new to his practice. Twice he failed to order new dental appliances that I needed, requiring me to use old and faulty applicances for weeks that were ineffective and caused me pain. Twice he has asked me to fix my faulty appliances myself by telling me to bite on it to try to change its shape or by asking me to take a nail file to it. I was even told to wear a broken appliance for several weeks. This has set my treatment time back by several months as I wait for the new appliances to come in. Twice I have shown up for scheduled appointments only to be told that the new appliances have still not arrived and to come back in two weeks. To say the least I have been terribly disappointed and cannot believe that I paid such an expensive fee for this type of treatment. When I go to Dr. Garai's office and see the many copies of his various "awards" all I can do is shake my head in disbelief.
