When I arrived at the clinic with my son for his appointment, we were sent away by the office staff for alleged problems with the insurance. They claimed that they could not see us because the dentist's name was not printed on the insurance card. Despite my protests that I did everything the insurance company requested (showing up with a referral form) the staff was adamant that we could not be seen.
When my wife called later we got the true story; Apparently Dr. Gaitmatan was out for a funeral and they had a substitute dentist in. Their staff was thus making up excuses as to why patients could not be seen. So rather than call 2-3 days in advance to reschedule (when the funeral was likely set) they waited for me to get my 3 year old ready and make the trip all the way there just to send me home based on a made up excuse.
When I contacted my insurance company to confirm I had done everything correctly they encouraged me to file a complaint. They also informed me that they have received several complaints about this office and they are looking into removing the provider from their network.
