I visited Dr. Kratenstein earlier last month and was told I had two cavities. I saw his office in passing & the location was very close to home -so I figured Id give him a shot. I proceeded with an appointment, so he went ahead and filled both with the white filling (my preference). I have white-filled cavities from a previous doctor from over five years ago which are in perfect condition (and whiter than the ones i recieved from Dr. Kratenstein), oppsoite these current cavities. Now, I know metal fillings are stronger than the ones I recieved, but since I never had a problem before, I didnt expect what was about to happen. They BOTH fell out TWICE in the SAME MONTH I recieved them, (which isnt the worst part)...after the second time around, BOTH of the teeth he worked on cracked right in half!! So now im left with this mess =( which is why Im on this site. Beware!

About Hygienist: In the midst of my second appointment with him, I had a lump on the roof of my mouth which I knew I had to see a surgeon for, but out of curiousity asked Dr. Kratenstein his opinon. He took his glove off in front of me and with his bare hands began pressing the lump to see if it hurt. I was in shock and too mortified to excuse myself or ask him to please put his gloves back on. Forgive me if Im wrong... but isnt this unsanitary???

I know this doctor: almost 2 months now
