I had several thousand dollars of work done on my teeth with Nanston since 2003. I stopped seeing them because the dentists I had did not provide quality work, Nanston prematurely terminated dentist contracts (I am sure because they did substandard work) and therefore I kept seeing different dentists, their administrative staff was incompetent, their billing staff did not know what they were doing and they over charged me. Since 2005, I have been seeing another dentist although, I continued to see Nanston's dentist that specializing in root canals for all of my root canals. He always provided me with good work. Since I have left Nanston, I have had several teeth that had been crowned by Nanston have to have root canals, crown lengthening and re-crowned. Upon the Nanston dentist suggestion, I decided to try going back to Nanston a particular dentist in the group that had been with them for a long time. I saw that dentist and he said that I now have a tooth that was crowned in late 2003 by Nanston that needs to be extracted and a bridge put in. The dentist said that they would not charge me for that tooth. The billing person and the manager of the office also told me that the dentist said that they would not bill me for this tooth. The manager said that they would have to send my records to a director to review the chart so that they could be paid for the crown by corporate or else the office would need to pay for it. Now the director has not approved the replacement of the crown because I have not been seeing them regularly. I was told that Nanston would not charge me for the crown and now they are going to charge me for the crown. Of course, the insurance company will not pay for the crown because it has been crowned in the past 5 years. So again I will be out of pocket for the crown. Also, I am loosing a tooth and will have to pay for a bridge. I am a professional CPA. I understand how a business should be run. If an agent of the company says that you will not be charged for something, you should not then try to charge them. This dentist practice is poorly run, unprofessional and you better know the dentist you choose to see. This practice should learn good customer service as well.
