Read Reviews for Dr. Dental Group Nanston
1. Lot of patients have billing issues. They first quoted x $ amount before the treatment, got the signature agreement on the x $. However, immediately after the treatment, billing dept said there was a mistake and the amt should be x ++ $ (approx 20% additional charges). when i objected and said that, I will pay only as per the agreement. they initially objected and later accepted the original amt. is this a good practice.
2. Billing /accounting & some of the receptionist in corporate sq office appears to be rude. when you ask logical billing clarification, they will not listen to you and will threaten you to call the police. they do not like any question on the billing clarifications.
3. Dentists are good, but billing / accounting & receptionist spoils the reputation of the dental office.

Nice facilities, dental staff if fine, terrible organization. Had multiple problems with billing. Office manager claimed to have not received insurance checks and required a 1000$ payment, Insurance company had records of Nanston cashing the check for the "payment in question" 3 months before.
About Hygienist: Hygentists were great, but it didn't make up for other shortcomings of the office.

I had several thousand dollars of work done on my teeth with Nanston since 2003. I stopped seeing them because the dentists I had did not provide quality work, Nanston prematurely terminated dentist contracts (I am sure because they did substandard work) and therefore I kept seeing different dentists, their administrative staff was incompetent, their billing staff did not know what they were doing and they over charged me.
Since 2005, I have been seeing another dentist although, I continued to see Nanston's dentist that specializing in root canals for all of my root canals. He always provided me with good work. Since I have left Nanston, I have had several teeth that had been crowned by Nanston have to have root canals, crown lengthening and re-crowned.
Upon the Nanston dentist suggestion, I decided to try going back to Nanston a particular dentist in the group that had been with them for a long time. I saw that dentist and he said that I now have a tooth that was crowned in late 2003 by Nanston that needs to be extracted and a bridge put in. The dentist said that they would not charge me for that tooth. The billing person and the manager of the office also told me that the dentist said that they would not bill me for this tooth. The manager said that they would have to send my records to a director to review the chart so that they could be paid for the crown by corporate or else the office would need to pay for it. Now the director has not approved the replacement of the crown because I have not been seeing them regularly.
I was told that Nanston would not charge me for the crown and now they are going to charge me for the crown. Of course, the insurance company will not pay for the crown because it has been crowned in the past 5 years. So again I will be out of pocket for the crown. Also, I am loosing a tooth and will have to pay for a bridge.
I am a professional CPA. I understand how a business should be run. If an agent of the company says that you will not be charged for something, you should not then try to charge them. This dentist practice is poorly run, unprofessional and you better know the dentist you choose to see. This practice should learn good customer service as well.

I was very put-off by the customer service and attention that I received on my first visit to this dentist office. I went to the branch at Corporate Square. The dentist first said I was cavity free then when I reminded him about a tooth that I had come in with a concern about he suddenly found several cavities. Then I was rushed out without having a good understanding of my bill or exactly what procedures needed to be done (although they did list them and the costs). I have since called back to discuss my "necessary" procedures and no one has called me back. I also received a bill a month after my appointment for an additional $100 for what they did that wasn't covered by my insurance. Keep in mind I spent $200 for just a first appointment and a cleaning. I will not go back.

I don't know about Doctor Nanston's work, but I do know that his group is anything less than professional. The group of doctors and assistants here are definately hired from the bottom of the barrel. The workers I have encountered here, are short, rude, and in a rush. The doctors and assitants seem to be unorganized, unprepared, and unable to communicate properly. Not only is the Nanston service poor, but the condition of the facility is as well, with it's poorly sterilized equipment.
When I first went to Nanston's, one of the doctors filled my cavity to where I could no longer floss between my two teeth. After several attempts of trying to floss the debri out, I finally could. Months later, my orthdontist informed me that my cavity was decaying because the whole seal had come out of my tooth.
Immediately, I went back to the Nanston Group to get a free refill, but I was told I would have to see the same doctor, and that she no longer worked with them. So, I agreed to see another doctor, hoping she would do a better job.Instead, the doctor( who was a rush)drilled my tooth to where I now get more debri clogged between my teeth. I am very dissapointed by the outcome of this dentist's work. I will never go back again.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Nanston Dental Group in Lawrenceville. After that first visit, each visit to Nanston I was seen by new dentists and hygenists (the same people were no longer there.) On the last visit I was disappointed with the hygenist and did not feel as if my teeth were clean upon leaving. Also, I set up 2 appointments before leaving (I am a teacher so I set up one on a school holiday for fillings and one during winter break for wisdom teeth removal). I received calls cancelling both appointments a few days before each of them. I have never heard of a dental office being closed on school holidays! I was told they would call to reschedule but never heard back.
