Started out having high hopes for this dentist. I will say Dr Karr himself is great. Friendly and personable.
The rest of the staff, not so much. I specified up front how anxious going to a dentist is, and that cost is a major concern. This wasn't payed attention to at all. Never given anything for anxiety, or was helped given cost options after making it clear it was important.
Receptionist claimed to have sent information to a pharmacy as I require antibiotics prior to procedures. The pharmacy didn't get it and I had to call twice to get corrected and make two trips to the pharmacy before I was ever seen.
Receptionist claimed to have sent referral. Called and no referral had been received. Had to call again (twice) to get this corrected as well. After verifying with her it had been sent.
Asked for clarification on charges and am patronized and given the runaround. The receptionist started laughing at my concerns regarding cost, which wasn't appropriate or appreciated. Pricing is done by zip code. Dentists in Keller charge more than ones in Fort Worth for the same procedure code. Insurance doesn't affect the base charge. Bottom line, you pay more in Keller.
I'll be finding another dentist. If you want to discuss your options and be fully informed regarding your insurance, cost options, referral process, and be able to ask questions about your care, all I can say is I didn't receive this. I am a clinical professional and have run dental offices so I do know something about it.
