The facility is nice and clean, and the dentist, hygienists, and receptionist are all very friendly. However, I went in for a regular cleaning and was told that I have beginning stages of gum disease and would need to come back for deep cleaning (scaling and root planing).
I was concerned about this because I have excellent home care and brush and floss daily, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion and was told that my gums are fine.
I believe preventive dental care is important, but I think deep cleaning is unnecessary at this stage of my dental health. I have heard that many patients who go to see him have been told that they need to have scaling done.
