Ok, so we all know that there is nothing fun about having a root canal done. The best that you can hope for is that it is done carefully...and as efficiently as is possible.
I'm pleased to say that my experience with Dr. Tepper exceeded my expectations for what a root canal entailed. My last root canal (my first root canal) was about 30 years ago. In that time the process has changed, now moving to a process where a microscope is used during the procedure.
Dr. Tepper explained how the usage of the scope makes it possible to work in areas (my root canal was needed in the top back tooth) which would have been very challenging to work on without the benefit of magnification.
The office itself is in Rockefeller Plaza, which is certainly a nice address. Keep in mind, you will need to check in with the security desk in the lobby and receive a pass for entry to the elevators.
The office (which is shared with 2 or 3 other dentists) is nicely decorated and very clean. There are rest rooms located across the hall from the actual office (keyed entry).
Dr. Tepper is a very engaging and meticulous individual. In an age where people are concerned with the bottom line, it's nice to be treated by someone who didn't try and rush the procedure and took the time to explain the what and why about what was being done.
Although the experience was not without discomfort (mainly just keeping the mouth open for an extended period) the overall experience was as good as could be expected.
If I needed (and let's hope that I won't) another root canal, I would not hesitate to return to be treated by Dr. Tepper.
