I went to the Dr. Corben's offices in Salem (on Essex st.) and this fell this practice is concerned with one thing only: ensuring maximum profit with little to no regard for the care of the patient, even to the point of dishonesty. I arrived for my first appointment no more than one year from my previous dentist, and they very quickly "discovered" FIVE new cavities! Then, before cleaning they informed me I had an "unusual" amount of hard plaque that would require two "special" cleanings, even requiring some local anesthesia for the procedure, which was quite expensive. I left feeling scammed. A few days later I canceled everything, and went to another local dentist for a second opinion and guess what? They found two (not five) very minor cavities that they said almost were not worth doing. Three years later and those other three never have shown back up, apparently having magically gone away.
