The hygenist I had didn't say two words, even to the point that she pushed my mouth open instead of just saying "open". She couldn't figure out how to adjust the chair and I kept going up and down. She needed help with the x-ray, and the biteplate was too big for my mouth. The dentist finally came in without introducing herself (an associate of Dr. Baptiste's, her name was Dr. Stanley I found out). She looked at the xrays, said 'no cavities' and did the cleaning herself. Then she manually examined for cavities, and said "You have to clean better, you have cavities." She was ready to walk away until I asked how many and she said 6. I told her I was surprised since I've never had ANY before, and she said they were discolorations and soft spots in my enamel (even though those don't sound like cavities to me), and I should get them filled, and just walked away. The receptionist then told me that only 2 of my fillings were covered by insurance and I'd have to pay for the others. When I asked why she didn't have an answer for me and just said "They'll be $170 each to fill." WHAT?!? I have never heard of such a high price for out of pocket fillings from anyone who has gone to the dentist before. I will not be going back.
